Yahoo DFS Baseball: Sunday-Monday Playoff Picks

This article is part of our Yahoo DFS Baseball series.

There is one baseball game Sunday, and one Monday, so naturally the two have been combined for Sunday's daily fantasy contest. The Dodgers and Brewers are one game ahead in their series, but nobody is facing elimination yet. With all that said, here are my daily fantasy lineup recommendations. Good luck.

PITCHER

Walker Buehler, LAD vs. MIL ($45): Buehler struggled in his first playoff start, but don't give up on him yet. The rookie was mightily impressive this year, posting a 3.08 FIP. He was also great at home, managing a 1.93 ERA at Dodger Stadium. It wouldn't be surprising in the least to see the 24-year-old bounce back.

CATCHER

Evan Gattis, HOU at BOS ($8): Gattis has power, at the very least, as he hit 25 homers in 128 games. He was also decidedly better against lefties, sporting a .816 OPS versus southpaws. David Price is a lefty, and he really struggled in his lone playoff appearance.

FIRST BASE

Tyler White, HOU at BOS ($13): White doesn't possess a ton of experience at the major league level yet, but has posted a .909 OPS against southpaws since 2016. He was impressive at the plate all season by slashing .276/.354/.533. As previously noted, David Price is left-handed, and struggled with a 4.06 FIP this year.

SECOND BASE

Enrique Hernandez, LAD vs. MIL ($11):Brian Dozier is basically an afterthought at this point, because Hernandez has impressed with a 1.273 OPS over the last 21 days. He'll also be happy to see this series move to Los Angeles, as he slashed .287/.352/.564 at home. Jhoulys Chacin is the de facto number-one starter for the Brewers, but didn't look great in 2018 with a 4.07 FIP.

THIRD BASE

Alex Bregman, HOU at BOS ($22): This just in: Bregman is one of the best hitters in baseball. He carried a .286/.394/.532 slash line with 31 homers and 10 stolen bases, and has stayed hot in the playoffs. He hits lefties (.969 OPS), he hits righties (.908 OPS), he does it all. David Price used to be an ace, but those days are behind him, as his 4.06 FIP indicates.

SHORTSTOP

Carlos Correa, HOU at BOS ($13): Correa experienced a down year due to injuries and bad luck, but he comes in with a .277/.356/.477 slash line over his career. He also didn't have a great ALDS, but he mashed a homer for his one hit. Because of his talent and price, the potential ceiling for Correa is high, and you can't just take the most-expensive player at every position.

OUTFIELD

George Springer, HOU at BOS ($21): Springer slightly underwhelmed this season, but he still posted an .849 OPS since returning from an injury in August. He's also been quite hot to start the postseason. In addition to his 4.06 FIP, David Price allowed 1.28 homers per nine innings this year, and his playoffs have not gone as well as Springer's.

Marwin Gonzalez, HOU at BOS ($15): First, let me just say that, yes, I steered clear of Brewers and Red Sox players. Walker Buehler's 1.93 ERA at home is foreboding, as are Gerrit Cole's 2.74 FIP and his 12.40 strikeouts per nine innings. David Price is a little less intimidating, especially with his struggles against the Yankees in the last round. Gonzalez's numbers were a bit down this year, but he's been excellent on the road the last two seasons.

Joc Pederson, LAD vs. MIL ($13): Pederson is going to be happy to see a righty on the mound. He enters with a .893 OPS versus right-handed pitchers, and 24 of his 25 homers came in those matchups. As such, with Jhoulys Chacin and his 4.07 FIP on the mound, this is a day where Pederson makes sense in your lineup.
