2016 Fantasy Outlook
The 6-foot-7 righty was acquired by the A's in the deadline deal that sent Tyler Clippard to the Mets. Meisner was selected by the Mets out of high school in the 3rd round of the 2013 draft. He threw 143.1 innings across two levels in 2015, compiling a 2.45 ERA, but his K/9 was only 7.1 after a more impressive 9.7 K/9 in 2014 in Low-A. Meisner touches 94 on his fastball, but by all accounts, his curveball needs some work and he needs to work on consistency in his mechanics. He will turn 21 in May and will likely start the season in High-A with a possible quick promotion to Double-A if he keeps up the low ratios.
