February 16, 2019
Povse has been delayed in camp due to a sore shoulder, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Povse hasn't thrown yet in camp but is expected to do so in a few days. Assuming he's able to hit that timeline, he should still be ready to go by Opening Day, but he's unlikely to spend that day on the big-league roster, though, as he was designated for assignment in late January.

Dream11 Fantasy Baseball: Mariners at Giants
September 8, 2020
Juan Pablo Aravena breaks down Tuesday's Mariners at Giants game for Dream11 contests.
2017 Fantasy Outlook
Citing Randy Johnson as a reason to be patient with uber-tall pitchers is like citing 'Werewolves of London' as a reason to listen to the entire Warren Zevon catalog. Now that any eagerness has been properly dispatched, it's worth pointing out that Povse, despite standing 6-foot-8, has some intriguing qualities. He is a painfully slow worker on the mound, but perhaps it is his inherent deliberateness that has allowed him to post excellent walk rates throughout his pro career. Another explanation could be that, unlike most pitchers his size, Povse's fastball sits in the low 90s, which makes it an easier pitch to harness. His control peaked last year, as the former Braves farmhand walked less than five percent of the batters he faced at both High-A Carolina and Double-A Mississippi. His added extension makes the fastball a plus offering, and he also flashes a plus curveball, which is enough to make him interesting in deeper dynasty leagues.
