25-Year-Old Second Baseman2B

2019 Fantasy Outlook
After hitting .350 in 58 games to open the season with Triple-A Salt Lake, Fletcher earned his first big-league callup in mid-June and quickly settled into an everyday role. He didn't do a lot to excite fantasy owners -- his middling performance was right in line with his prospect reports. He demonstrated good contact ability (11.1 K%) and strong defense at both second and third base, but he'll need to tap into more power if he's to be anything more than a glove-first, slap-hitting utility man long term. Fletcher managed a .209 ISO with Salt Lake prior to his promotion but posted just a .088 ISO in the big leagues, a mark which lined up well with his numbers from previous seasons. He has dual eligibility and a little speed, but those aren't strong enough selling points in mixed leagues. Read Past Outlooks

Slaps go-ahead single
2BLos Angeles Angels
July 20, 2019
Fletcher went 2-for-5 with the go-ahead RBI single, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Mariners.
ANALYSIS
Fletcher's sixth stolen base of the year came in the first inning after he got aboard with a single. He then poked another single to ignite a four-run ninth inning by scoring Kole Calhoun for what would be the game-winning run. The infielder is hitting .293/.355/.414 with 52 runs scored, 33 RBI and five homers on the year.

How does David Fletcher compare to other hitters?
This section compares his stats with all batting seasons from the previous three seasons (minimum 400 plate appearances)*. The bar represents the player's percentile rank. For example, if the bar is halfway across, then the player falls into the 50th percentile for that stat and it would be considered average.

* Exit Velocity and Barrels/PA % are benchmarked against this season's data (min 200 PA) and Hard Hit Rate is benchmarked against last season's data (min 400 PA). See here for more exit velocity/barrels stats plus an explanation of current limitations with that data set.
