ANALYSIS
Muno was previously signed to a minor-league contract by the Tigers on Feb. 20 but has yet to see any game action in 2017. The 28-year-old has a career .270/.385/.398 minor-league line that includes 104 doubles, 11 triples, 35 home runs and 240 RBI over a total of 555 games. His only previous big-league exposure came with the Mets in 2015, when he hit just .148 with a double over 32 plate appearances. He projects as minor-league depth for the time being.

2015 Fantasy Outlook
Muno has quietly moved from level-to-level in the Mets' system while garnering little attention in prospect circles, typically falling behind Matt Reynolds on the organizational depth chart in the middle infield. As a 25-year-old, Muno hit .259/.372/.418 at Triple-A Las Vegas last season, and given the hitter-friendly nature of his home park and the PCL as a whole, The career-best homer total should be taken with a grain of salt. Muno has shown a consistent ability to draw walks, while flashing a useful amount of base-stealing ability, although his success rate has fallen considerably since his 19-for-22 mark at High-A in 2012. Nevertheless, the switch-hitting Muno may open the season on the big league roster for the Mets, with a somewhat clear path to at-bats if Wilmer Flores can't handle the defensive rigors of shortstop, and if a spring hamstring injury forces Daniel Murphy to begin the season on the disabled list. Muno's opportunity may be due in part to the fact that Reynolds has more long-term value to the organization, and getting Reynolds everyday at-bats is a priority while the team is comfortable with Muno as a short-term bench option.
