PITCHER
Michael Pineda, NYY vs. TEX ($47): Pineda has been outstanding at home, generating a 1.92 ERA, .202 BAA, 10.10 K/9 and .243 wOBA allowed over 51.2 innings. The Rangers have mustered a subpar .298 wOBA and 29.3 percent strikeout rate against right-handed pitching on the road over the last month, while Pineda has scored over 20 fantasy points in every home start this season, including more than 30 once and another over 40.
Derek Holland, CWS vs. OAK ($35): While Holland comes with some risk, he draws an appealing matchup against the Athletics, who have a majors-low .243 wOBA and 32.7 percent strikeout rate against lefties on the road over the last month. Their struggles go back further, as they have the lowest wOBA against lefties on the road (.255) going back an additional month. Holland has allowed 16 homers, but most have been on the road, and he sports a 2.48 ERA over 29 innings at Guaranteed Rate Field.
CATCHER
Salvador Perez, KC vs. TOR ($17): Blue Jays starter Francisco Liriano has an 8.53 ERA while allowing a .474 wOBA, 6.29 xFIP and 40.6 percent hard contact rate in 19 road innings this season, including a .486 wOBA, 6.60 xFIP, 2.81 HR/9 and 43.4 percent hard contact rate to right-handed hitters on the road. Meanwhile, Perez has a .347 wOBA and 48.2 percent hard contact rate against southpaws at Kaufmann Stadium.
FIRST BASE
Anthony Rizzo, CHC at MIA ($26): Rizzo is in a good spot Sunday against Marlins starter Edinson Volquez, who he has a .400 batting average against over 11 career plate appearances. Volquez's Achilles' heel has been lefty bats, as he's allowed a .351 wOBA, 5.52 xFIP (including .608 at home) and 41.7 percent hard contact rate to them. Rizzo has a .369 wOBA, .219 ISO and 32.9 percent hard contact rate against righties, and checks into Sunday with a .475 wOBA, 1.163 OPS and 40.6 percent hard contact rate this month.
SECOND BASE
Daniel Murphy, WAS vs. CIN ($23): Reds starter Scott Feldman has given up a .392 wOBA and 32.7 percent hard contact rate to left-handed hitters on the road while Murphy has a .402 wOBA and 33.5 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching. He's been hot this month, posting a .442 wOBA and 31.5 percent line drive rate over his 88 plate appearances. Meanwhile, the Reds' bullpen has a 9.70 ERA while allowing a .441 wOBA and 44.0 percent hard contact rate to left-handed hitters on the road in the last month.
THIRD BASE
Evan Longoria, TAM vs. BAL ($20):Justin Turner ($24) and David Freese ($11) also make for solid plays, but Longoria has a great matchup on his own. Orioles starter Chris Tillman has allowed a .549 wOBA, 3.86 HR/9 and 51.5 percent hard contact rate to right-handed hitters on the road while Longoria has a .323 wOBA and 36.9 percent hard contact rate against right-handed hitters at Tropicana Field. His 68 career plate appearances against Tillman also includes a whopping eight homers, four doubles and a triple, while the Orioles' bullpen has a 6.10 ERA while allowing a .376 wOBA, including six homers, versus righty bats on the road in the last month.
SHORTSTOP
Chris Owings, ARI vs. PHI ($14): It's certainly advisable to have some D-Backs bats versus Phillies starter Jeremy Hellickson, and Owings fits the bil. Hellickson has allowed a .385 wOBA, 2.18 HR/9 and 5.39 xFIP to righty bats on the road while Owings has a .380 wOBA and .202 ISO at Chase Field, including a .373 wOBA, .213 ISO, 26.3 percent HR/FB rate and 40.6 percent hard contact rate against righties there.
OUTFIELD
Michael Conforto, NYM at SF ($13): The lefty-on-lefty matchup with Matt Moore shouldn't be an issue for Conforto, considering Moore's .464 wOBA, 2.45 HR/9, 6.17 xFIP and 47.3 percent hard contact rate allowed to left-handed hitters, and Conforto's own .383 wOBA and .239 ISO against southpaws. He's also posted a 42.1 percent hard contact rate against them on the road, and he has a .371 wOBA and .262 ISO on the road overall.
Brett Gardner, NYY vs. TEX ($15): Gardner, who has a .444 batting average, two doubles and a homer over 11 career plate appearances against Rangers starter Nick Martinez, has a .378 wOBA and .242 ISO versus right-handed pitching at Yankee Stadium this year. He also boasts a 39.8 percent hard contact rate and 10 homers against that handedness, while Martinez has given up a .346 wOBA to left-handed hitters, along with a 6.10 xFIP and 2.45 HR/9 when facing them on the road. Additionally, Rangers relievers have a 9.22 ERA while allowing a .459 wOBA and 39.6 percent hard contact rate left-handed hitters on the road over the last month.
Justin Upton, DET at SD ($19): Upton has pounded southpaws on the road for a .467 wOBA, and he boasts a 41.7 percent hard contact rate versus that handedness overall. He's been red-hot at the plate in June as well, posting a .395 wOBA, .250 ISO and 40.3 percent hard contact rate. Meanwhile, Padres starter Clayton Richard has allowed all 10 of his homers this season to right-handed hitters, along with a .355 wOBA and a 32.4 percent line drive rate to them at home. Furthermore, Upton has touched him up for a .476 batting average, including three extra-base hits, over 24 career plate appearances. The Padres' bullpen has also struggled over the last month against right-handed hitters at home, posting a 6.08 ERA and allowing a .346 wOBA and 35.1 percent hard contact rate.
