Pitcher
Rich Hill, LAD at PIT ($8,800): Hill continues to pitch at just below elite levels, with his 22 strikeouts offsetting the eight runs he's allowed over his last 16 innings, spanning three starts. The Pirates have a .316 wOBA against lefties, which ranks 17th, and their 19.8 percent fan rate may keep Hill's upside in check. But the Bucs also own a –6.5 wRAA, which keeps Hill's floor very stable, and he should see ample run support with his loaded offense facing Trevor Williams, who has allowed 11 runs in his last 8 innings.
Catcher
Jorge Alfaro, PHI vs. MIA ($2,100): With Cameron Rupp catching Jered Eickoff and Aaron Nola, Alfaro seems safe to pencil in Wednesday against Justin Nicolino and his 6.00 road ERA with Mark Leiter Jr. on the bump. Alfaro brings an overall .345 BA but only a .340 wOBA into the contest. There is little risk at this price, however, which is justified further by his 108 wRC+.
First Base
Paul Goldschmidt, ARI at NYM ($4,000): Goldschmidt entered Tuesday 0-for-11 in his last three games while only going deep once in his last eight. It's led to a reasonable price for his known upside, which is backed up by his .421 wOBA, 155 wRC+ and .284 ISO against same-handed pitchers. He'll get an opportunity to exploit that against the Mets' Chris Flexen, who carries an 8.18 home ERA, where he allows same-handed bats to post a .491 wOBA and 1.250 OPS.
Second Base
Ozzie Albies, ATL vs. SEA ($3,000): The price here continues to (rightfully) rise, which is making me a little uncomfortable, but Albies appears to be figuring out big league pitching. With a hit and a walk Tuesday, he's now reached base nine time in his last six games. He's been a bit of a victim of bad luck, owning a .267 BABIP against righties despite a 35.6 percent hard-hit rate. He seems primed to stay hot against Mariners' starter Erasmo Ramirez, who is allowing opposite-handed bats to post a .351 wOBA and 45.4 percent hard-contact rate.
Third Base
Josh Donaldson, TOR at TAM ($3,700): Donaldson has been sound against same-handed pitchers, posting a .388 wOBA and 143 wRC+, both team highs amongst regulars. He's averaging a homer every four games, and hasn't gone deep in his last three entering Tuesday. And he'll have a great chance to do so against Austin Pruitt, who has been hit hard by righties to the tune of a .392 wOBA and .950 OPS.
Shortstop
Didi Gregorius, NYY vs. DET ($3,100): Loading up on Yankees, including a struggling yet underpriced Aaron Judge ($3,800) seems beyond prudent against Jordan Zimmerman. Gregorius seems like a less obvious buy in, owning a .373 wOBA and 134 wRC+ against righties. That seems to offer some upside against Zimmerman's .385 wOBA allowed to lefties.
Outfield
Eddie Rosario, MIN at CWS ($3,600): Rosario's team-leading .372 wOBA and 132 wRC+ against righties is more than playable in normal situations. He's also found his power stroke since the All-Star break, launching seven homers in 34 games compared to 10 in 75 games prior. And there's plenty of reason for confidence against a laboring James Shields, who has allowed a .439 wOBA to lefties and a 6.45 ERA during the second half.
Delino DeShields Jr., TEX at LAA ($3,400): DeShields entered Tuesday on a hot streak, having posted double-digit points in six straight games while only managing hits in four of those. He's doing so with his legs, having stolen five bases in that stretch while walking four times (and collecting seven hits). That alone brings appeal atop a powerful Rangers lineup, but a matchup with Andrew Heaney, who allowed five runs and seven hits over five innings in his first start of the year, should help cement DeShields as a safe option, as will his .347 wOBA against lefties.
Yasiel Puig, LAD at PIT ($2,900): Any buy-in on the Dodgers offense seems like a good idea, and it's an even better idea when it comes with the upside Puig possesses, and being under $3,000 makes things even more appealing. Puig has feasted on right-handed pitching, owning a .375 wOBA, 134 wRC+ while hitting 21 of his 22 homers off of them, while Pirates starter Trevor Williams has a 4.54 second-half ERA. He also allowed eight runs in his last outing, lasting just three innings.
