PITCHER
Brandon Woodruff, MIL vs. PIT ($40): Most people will be on Carlos Carrasco ($54), so this is more of a contrarian play. While he only has four starts, Woodruff has been solid, reaching 26 fantasy points in two of those outings. I think he can reach that total again and more against the Pirates, who haven't been great in recent weeks. Since Aug. 21, the Pirates have a poor wOBA (.289) against righties to go with a high 24.6 percent K rate.
Jason Hammel, KC vs. CWS ($37): The upside isn't there with Hammel, but he at least provides consistency, reaching double-digit fantasy points in his last 12 starts. He should do so again against the White Sox, who have been bad in their own right the last few weeks with a .296 wOBA and 29.5 percent K rate against righties.

CATCHER
Robinson Chirinos, TEX vs. SEA ($17): Chirinos is a bit pricey at catcher, but I can afford him with cheaper pitchers used, especially given how he's hitting. Chirinos has smashed lefties for a .584 wOBA and .368 ISO in his last 25 plate appearances. Ariel Miranda has been all over the place for the Mariners, walking six in last start and allowing six runs in the one before that.
FIRST BASE
Carlos Santana, CLE vs. DET ($25): Going against the red-hot Indians isn't exactly a great spot to put a rookie in for his first career start, but that's what the Tigers are doing with Myles Jaye. Santana's recent numbers can't be matched by many with a .514 wOBA and .429 ISO in his last 41 plate appearances against righties. He also has a multi-hit game in five of his last seven.
SECOND BASE
Brandon Drury, ARI vs. COL ($10): After a couple of high-end bats, Drury can give consistency at a small price. His numbers for the season aren't great against lefties, but he's been much better since the All-Star break and sports a .371 wOBA and .235 ISO in his last 37 plate appearances.
THIRD BASE
Justin Turner, LAD at SF ($20): The Dodgers haven't been hitting well lately, but I'll roll with Turner in a good spot. His numbers against righties remain above average, albeit at a smaller level with a .346 wOBA in his last 61 plate appearances. On the mound, Chris Stratton has failed to show any consistency, from walking eight batters in his last two starts to not surpassing four Ks in seven of his nine outings.
SHORTSTOP
Didi Gregorius, NYY at TB ($13): Gregorius is on a mini-hot streak with 10 hits in the last six games and his price is enticing. That's not a huge sample size, but at a small price, I'm hoping to catch Gregorious against a hittable pitcher. Jake Odorizzi has mediocre numbers against both sides of the plate, but a 5.43 xFIP against lefties stands out.
OUTFIELD
Keon Broxton, MIL vs. PIT ($14): Broxton has picked up his hitting in the last month or so as seen in a .407 wOBA in his last 22 plate appearances against lefties. That number should jump some more against a shaky Steven Brault. The lefty hurler hasn't been great in limited time in the majors, giving up eight hits and three runs in just five innings last time out to go with zero strikeouts. He also has an early .399 wOBA allowed and 6.57 xFIP against righties (12.0 IP).
Mitch Haniger, SEA at TEX ($15): Haniger adds a bit more needed power for this squad and faces a southpaw, having posted a .381 ISO in his last 22 plate appearances against them. Cole Hamels has also fallen apart, giving up 14 runs in his last three starts, while his walk rate has also shot up with 17 free passes in his last six starts.
Guillermo Heredia, SEA at TEX ($7): If you're looking for a cheap final piece to complete a lineup, Heredia should be considered. He's much better against lefties as seen in a .445 wOBA in his last 26 plate appearances against them. In addition to Hamels's recent struggles, he's much worse against righties with a .311 wOBA allowed and 5.05 xFIP.
