FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Wednesday's NBA slate is an expansive one, with 10 games on tap beginning at 7:00 PM Eastern time. Certain players stand out from the multitude of available options as guys to target, and these value plays can be found all across the price spectrum. FanDuel's format only counts the eight highest scores in your nine-player lineup, so keep that in mind when making your selections.

POINT GUARD

Patrick Beverley, LAC at MIA ($5,500): Beverley has been tremendous since replacing Danilo Gallinari (back) in the starting lineup, averaging 44.1 fantasy points in the first two games of the Italian's absence. With Gallinari already ruled out for the rest of Los Angeles' road trip, Beverley's an absolute steal at just $5,500. Jump on this bargain before Beverley's price starts to reflect his increased role.

Trae Young, ATL at CHI ($7,100): Young's combination of shooting and passing ability coupled with his heavy workload on offense give him an enormous ceiling against a Bulls team that's 1-9 in its past 10 games. While this game's in Chicago, the Bulls haven't experienced any sort of home court advantage with a 5-17 record at United Center. This is a great opportunity for Young to eclipse 40.0 fantasy points for the third time in five games.

SHOOTING GUARD

James Harden, HOU at NY ($13,500): Harden is on an incredible run, having scored 30-plus points in each of his past 20 games. His attempt to extend that streak is likely to meet little resistance from a Knicks team that's allowing 115.7 points per game -- third-most in the league. Given his lack of supporting cast on the injury-riddled Rockets, Harden will have to keep his foot on the gas pedal to pick up this road win, making him the player to build around in this slate.

D'Angelo Russell, BKN vs. ORL ($8,600): Russell has unlocked a new gear recently, topping 50.0 fantasy points in three of the past four games while preceding this strong stretch with a 45.7 fantasy point performance. Brooklyn has surged into the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference with four consecutive wins, and the success is likely to continue for both Russell and his team against a Magic squad that's 8-14 on the road and 3-7 in its past 10 games overall.

SMALL FORWARD

Nikola Mirotic, NO vs. DET ($6,700): Mirotic's 32 minutes Monday were the most he's played in six games since returning from an ankle injury, suggesting he's finally ramped back up to a full workload. Even with his minutes previously reduced, Mirotic has clearly found his game, averaging 35.6 fantasy points over the past three contests. He's better than a $6,700 player when healthy, and Mirotic finally looks to be just that.

Wilson Chandler, PHI vs. SA ($4,200): Chandler has settled into a nice role over the past four games, averaging 9.3 PPG and 7.0 RPG in 29 minutes per contest. He could be asked to play an increased role if Jimmy Butler sits with a wrist injury (Butler is questionable), but Chandler should provide nice value at $4,200 regardless of Butler's status against a Spurs team that's 9-14 on the road.

POWER FORWARD

Noah Vonleh, NY vs. HOU ($5,400): Vonleh's capable of a double-double on any given night, having scored double-digit points in eight of his last 12 games while racking up 10-plus rebounds seven times over that span. Houston's interior rotation is highlighted by Kenneth Faried and only gets worse from there, so there should be plenty of opportunities for Vonleh on the glass here. The affordable big man is also rounding out his stat line with career highs in assists (2.0), steals (0.8) and blocks (0.9) per game, giving Vonleh value besides his scoring and rebounding. He'll have a great chance to surpass those averages with increased minutes likely to come while fellow Knicks big man Luke Kornet is sidelined by an ankle injury.

Pascal Siakam, TOR at IND ($6,700): Siakam has stepped up with Kawhi Leonard resting, averaging 33.6 fantasy points over the past three games sans Leonard, one of which Siakam won with a buzzer-beater over the Suns. While the Pacers' defense is tough, Siakam's a nice against the grain play here with Leonard set to sit for a fourth game before rejoining the lineup Friday.

CENTER

Enes Kanter, NY vs. HOU ($6,200): Kanter's likely to benefit from Kornet's absence even more than Vonleh, and the Turkish big man has a much higher ceiling, as evidenced by the pair of 20-point, 20-rebound performances on Kanter's ledger this season. His price should quickly climb from its current $6,200 If Kanter sees the boost in minutes anticipated with Kornet out. Given the opposition, this is a great buy-low opportunity.
