FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Wednesday's NBA slate begins at 7:30 PM Eastern time and features seven games. Read on to see which players stand out from the pack as the top value plays in this slate, which is heavy on Western Conference teams. FanDuel's format only counts the eight highest scores in your nine-player lineup, so keep that in mind when making your selections.

POINT GUARD

Bryn Forbes, SA at GS ($4,400): Forbes has played 30-plus minutes in six of his past seven games, and his playing time should climb even higher with fellow Spurs point guard Derrick White sidelined by plantar fasciitis. While Forbes' per-minute production leaves a lot to be desired, he's eclipsed 20.0 fantasy points in each of his past three games, and his significant playing time gives Forbes a high floor relative to his $4,400 valuation.

Stephen Curry, GS vs. SA ($9,200): This is a nice buy-low opportunity on Curry, who's coming off a sub-20 fantasy point performance. His average of 44.8 fantasy points per game is well above Kemba Walker's 40.7, yet Curry actually costs less coming off this recent clunker. A home matchup with a Spurs team that's thin at the point guard position should help Curry get back on track as he looks to eclipse 50.0 fantasy points for the ninth time in his last 20 games.

SHOOTING GUARD

Monte Morris, DEN at BKN ($6,400): While Malik Beasley has turned heads with his scoring, Morris has been the better unheralded Nugget from a fantasy perspective in recent games. Over the past four contests, Morris is chipping in a well-rounded 18.3 PPG, 5.5 RPG and 7.0 APG. Even if Jamal Murray returns from his ankle injury, Morris should continue to get enough run to produce.

Jamal Crawford, PHO at UTA ($3,800): Crawford can still produce when given playing time -- he's logged 30 minutes in two of the past three games, scoring 23.3 and 35.9 fantasy points in those two contests. With a new hamstring injury putting fellow Suns shooting guard Devin Booker's status in doubt, Crawford could receive an even greater share of playing time and ball handling responsibilities. Given Booker's extensive history of hamstring injuries, the Suns will likely play it safe and keep him out. Either way, Crawford's a low-risk, high-reward play at just $3,800.

SMALL FORWARD

Jae Crowder, UTA vs. PHO ($4,800): Crowder was moved into the starting lineup Saturday against Houston and played 34 minutes, setting the stage for a productive performance against a Suns team that's allowing a league-high 118.7 points per game on the road. While some of the Jazz's more expensive players present some risk due to the possibility of the home team pulling away and emptying the bench, Crowder is cheap enough that the upside outweighs the downside with him.

Harrison Barnes, DAL vs. CHA ($5,900): Barnes has topped his season average of 26.2 fantasy points in three of his past four games, and he's set for another above-average performance for the new-look Mavericks. Not only are the visiting Hornets playing the second game of a back-to-back, they're also just 7-18 on the road. With Dallas' rotation taking a short-term hit due to the crown jewel of the team's recent trade with New York (Kristaps Porzingis) scheduled to sit out the rest of this season, Barnes should see another massive workload after playing 39 and 36 minutes in the past two games.

POWER FORWARD

Julius Randle, NO at CHI ($8,500): Randle is questionable with an ankle injury, but the game-time decision has massive upside should he suit up. With Anthony Davis (finger) and Nikola Mirotic (calf) both expected to sit out, Randle would immediately become the Pelicans' go-to option at the power forward position, and that role should lead to great results against a 12-41 Bulls team.

Jeff Green, WAS at MIL ($5,800): Green's thrived over the past three games, averaging 38.7 fantasy points. With the Wizards desperately trying to claw their way into the playoff picture, they should continue to ride Green against the league-best (record-wise) Bucks. Green's playing time has climbed in each of the past three games, jumping from 29 minutes to 33 to 36, so he's primed to once again outperform his modest $5,800 valuation.

CENTER

Jahlil Okafor, NO at CHI ($7,800): Okafor becomes a bit less enticing if Randle suits up, but he's a can't-miss option if Randle joins Davis and Mirotic on the sidelines. The third overall selection in the 2015 draft doesn't contribute much on the defensive end, but he can compile plenty of points and rebounds when given the opportunity. Okafor has eclipsed 40.0 fantasy points in five of the past eight games for the injury-riddled Pelicans and is primed to do so once more against this weak competition.
