Raptors Have Another Chance At First NBA Title
The Golden State Warriors play host to the Toronto Raptors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, at Oracle Arena on Thursday evening.

The Raptors lead the series 3-2, after falling short by one point at home in Game 5 where they had a chance to close out the series on their home court. Kevin Durant played his first game in over a month in Game 5 and gave the Warriors a huge boost, as he went 3-of-3 from deep and finished with 11 points in 12 minutes. Unfortunately for Durant and the Warriors, he was forced to leave the game with what turned out to be a torn achilles. Durrant was listed as a gametime decision prior to the game, which may have been what led to him suffering a greater injury as he tried to play through his lingering calf injury. Durant will miss the rest of the series and possibly the entire next season. Kevon Looney (chest) is also questionable for action.

The Raptors are 2-0 at Oracle Arena in the Finals, so although they missed their shot in Game 5, there is certainly nothing stopping them from making up for it on Thursday on the road. Kawhi Leonard is simply a problem for his opponents, as he is dominates all aspects of the game. Kawhi finished with 26 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, two blocks and two steals in Game 5, including fuelling a run that almost gave Toronto its first championship. The Warriors did an excellent job getting the ball out of Leonarda™s hands on the final possession in Game 5, causing the Raptors to scramble and fail to get off a clean shot to win the game. Nonetheless, the team continues to play well around him, as Kyle Lowry and Marc Gasol combined for 35 points in Game 5.

Despite the major setback of losing Durant, the Warriorsa™ roster still includes four players who are/were all stars, as Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguoldala and DeMarcus Cousins will all need to be at the top of their game in order to preserve a chance at a three-peat for the franchise. The Warriors will be working with a short bench and will need some contribution from guys like Andrew Bogut, Jordan Bell and Alfonzo McKinnie.
