The Toronto Raptors defeated the host Golden State Warriors, 114-110, in Game 6 of the NBA Finals at ORACLE Arena on Thursday.

Many people expected the Warriors to force a Game 7 but Toronto pulled off a rare feat by winning all three road games en route to their NBA Championship. This was one of the tighest games of the series, as it took nine ties and 18 lead changes to determine a winner, with neither team ever attaining a double-digit lead. The only major difference in the stat sheet was the turnovers, with Toronto winning that battle, 17-12.

The Raptors (4-2) were led by Kyle Lowry, as he accrued 26 points, seven rebounds 10 assists and three steals. Kawhi Leonard, took down Finals MVP honors, finishing this game with 22 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Pascal Siakam generated 26 points, 10 rebounds and three assists while Fred VanVleet led the bench with 22 points. Serge Ibaka also provided 15 points, three rebounds and two assists off the bench. No player had more than three points.

The Warriors (2-4) were led by Klay Thompson, as he totaled 30 points, five rebounds and two assists in just three quarters. He departed in the third with what's been confirmed as a left ACL tear. Stephen Cutty amassed 21 points, three rebounds and seven assists. Andre Iguodala collected 22 points, two rebounds and two assists while Draymond Green accumulated 11 points, 19 rebounds, 13 assists., three steals and two blocks. DeMarcus Cousins led the bench with 12 points, five rebounds and two assists.

This marked the final game at ORACLE Arena and the first title for the Toronto Raptors. This was the Golden State Warriors fifth-straight title appearance and it marked the first time in Finals history that the road team won five-straight games.
