2017 Fantasy Outlook
White spent the majority of 2016-17 bouncing back and forth between the D-League and the NBA. In the D-League, he averaged 18.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals across 33.0 minutes over 23 appearances while shooting 43.9 percent from the field and making 1.7 threes per game at a 30.2 percent clip. The 6-foot-8 forward made 35 appearances in the NBA, posting 2.8 points and 2.3 rebounds across 13.5 minutes per game. In addition to his impressive D-League stats, he flashed some upside with the Heat. Notably, during Jan. 25’s game against the Nets, he recorded 10 points (3-4 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, four blocks, one assist and one steal across 27 minutes. All that said, he’s still projected to be at the bottom of the pecking order when it comes to garnering minutes at either forward slot. As a result, he should likely be avoided in the vast majority of Fantasy formats.
