Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary

Gary Clark was born in Smithfield, North Carolina, to Tammy McKey and Gary Clark, Sr. He has one brother, Jeremiah, and two sisters, Azia and Tanija. Clark attended and played basketball at Clayton High School in Clayton, North Carolina. By the end of his high-school tenure, he had become the school's all-time leading scorer, rebounder and shot-blocker. Clark became the first player in North Carolina history to record a quadruple-double with 22 points, 21 rebounds, 15 blocked shots and 10 assists during his senior season. He attended the University of Cincinnati, where he graduated with a degree in criminal justice. Learn more about Clark by following him on Twitter (@Gary11_Clark) and on Instagram (@gary6clark). Clark was a four-year starter for the Cincinnati Bearcats. In the sixth game of his college career, the 6-foot-6 forward had 12 points and 12 rebounds, the first of his three double-doubles as a freshman. He averaged 7.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.3 blocks for a team that made the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Clark put up 10.4 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks as a sophomore and was named AAC Defensive Player of the Year. He posted similar numbers -- 10.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.2 blocks -- as a junior and helped the Bearcats to the Big Dance for the third straight season. Clark won AAC Player of the Year and repeated as Defensive Player of the Year as a senior. He averaged 12.9 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks. After four years, Clark set school records in starts and double-doubles and was third in rebounds. He went undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, but he later signed with the Houston Rockets, making his debut as a pro later that year.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2020
2019
Clark spent the second half of the 2019-20 campaign with the Magic, where he averaged 3.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in 14.8 minutes. The 26-year-old should be in line for a similar role in 2020-21, making him irrelevant in almost all fantasy leagues.
Clark began his rookie season with the Rockets on a two-way contract but was ultimately converted to a full-time member of the NBA roster when he signed a three-year deal in December. Clark ended up making a pair of starts and appearing in 52 games overall for Houston last year, averaging 2.9 points and 2.3 rebounds across 12.6 minutes per game. Entering his second NBA season, Clark could be in line for a somewhat larger role depending on how Houston's final roster ends up looking by the start of the regular season. While P.J. Tucker is expected to again dominate the minutes player at power forward, Clark could wind up being his backup to start the regular season. One thing that really hurts Clark's chances to see additional minutes, however, is how ineffective he was from behind the arc last season, shooting just 29.7 percent from deep on 2.7 attempts per game, which is far from ideal in the team's spaced out offensive attack.
