DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Tuesday brings seven games on the NBA schedule, but there isn't a lot of elite talent to choose from. Only two players are priced at $10,000 or higher on DraftKings, leaving more money available for you to play with. Here are some players to consider for your entry to hopefully end your night a winner.

Guards

Bradley Beal, WAS at BKN ($8,600): Beal has been the leader of the Wizards' offense of late, scoring at least 25 points in three straight games. He played at least 37 minutes in all three of those games, which gives him plenty of opportunities to produce as his 29.6% usage rate ranks him 16th-best in the league. The Nets play at the third fastest pace (104.4) in the league, so Beal should have plenty of chances to contribute Tuesday.

Buddy Hield, SAC vs. PHO ($5,600): With at least 17 points in four straight games, Hield is in the midst of his best offensive stretch of the season. The key for his success is he played at least 26 minutes in all four of those games, something he had done only once in his previous seven games. His 24.7% usage rate puts him in the top-50 in the league, so he can be valuable when given extended run. Considering the Suns allow the most points per game (115) in the league, Hield could be primed for another valuable performance.

J.J. Barea, DAL vs. SA ($5,100): Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) has already been ruled out Tuesday, marking the third straight game he will miss. While he hasn't been spectacular, Barea scored at least 23.8 DraftKings points in both of the previous two games that Smith missed. Barea's 26.4% usage rate ranks him inside the top-35 in the league, so there is the possibility that he could put up a big game with added minutes. At this reasonable price, he's worth consideration for your entry.

Forwards

Ben Simmons, PHI at MIN ($9,800): Simmons has continued to be a steady contributor, scoring at least 49.3 DraftKings points in three of his last four games. The Sixers are dealing with injuries to both Joel Embiid (back) and Robert Covington (back) as both players are listed as questionable for Tuesday's game. If either of them were to sit, Simmons would be counted on to score even more than he already does. Even if they do play, Simmons ability to contribute across multiple categories should make him worth this lofty price.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, BKN vs. WAS ($5,800): Hollis-Jefferson continues to be one of the more reliable players on the Nets as he has scored at last 30.5 DraftKings points in three straight games. Finally healthy from an ankle injury, he has logged at least 35 minutes in both of the last two games. He currently has a career-high 21.2% usage rate and can provide value at this price based on his role for the injury depleted Nets.

Ersan Ilyasova, ATL at CLE ($5,200): Ilyasova is feeling it from behind the arc, hitting 10 three-pointers over his last two games. The Hawks may get John Collins (shoulder) back Tuesday, but Ilyasova should still get plenty of minutes with Dewayne Dedmon (leg) and Mike Muscala (ankle) still out. Ilyasova scored 37.3 DraftKings points in his last meeting against the Cavaliers, so don't be surprised if he's productive again in this contest.

Centers

Kristaps Porzingis, NY vs. LAL ($8,500): After a few subpar performances, Porzingis got back on track by scoring 52.5 DraftKings points Sunday against the Hawks. It was only a matter of time before he righted the ship as his 34.0% usage rate is tied for second-best in the league. The Lakers play at the fastest pace (105.1) in the league, so look for Porzingis to cash in the extra possessions for another valuable performance.

Zach Randolph, SAC vs. PHO ($7,100): Finally seeing extended minutes, Randolph has scored at least 33.3 DraftKings points in five straight games. Willie Cauley-Stein (back) missed all or part of four of those games, which is a main factor for Randolph's improved production. Cauley-Stein is questionable for Tuesday, but Randolph could continue to see big minutes even if he does return as Skal Labissiere has only seen limited minutes lately. With the Suns bad defense, this could be a big game from the offensive-minded Randolph.

Kenneth Faried, DEN at DET ($5,200): With Nikola Jokic (ankle) out the last five games, Faried has played at least 27 minutes and scored at least 24.3 DraftKings points four times. Jokic is out again Tuesday, leaving Faried and Mason Plumlee to battle with Andre Drummond. If you are looking for a cheaper option at center, Faried is definitely worth considering.
