FanDuel NBA: Saturday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Saturday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Guards

Tyreke Evans, MEM at NOP ($8,400): Evans has been running the show in Memphis since Mike Conley (Achilles) went down, and he's having the best season of his career. Evans is averaging 36 fantasy points per game for the season, while scoring at least 41 fantasy points in 10 of his last 15 games. What particularly makes him a great option is the matchup, as he faces a Pelicans defense that allows the second-most fantasy points in the league to opposing point guards.

Eric Bledsoe, MIL at PHI ($7,000): With Giannis Antetokounmpo set to miss this game due to knee soreness, Bledsoe should see a monster rise in usage. Antetokounmpo ranks top-10 in the league with a 31.1 percent usage rate, and Bledsoe should be handling the ball on every possession with him out of the lineup. Bledsoe should thrive in that role, as he was regularly an $8,000 player in Phoenix when serving as one of the top offensive options. Philly also struggles with opposing point guards, allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to the position for the season.

Nicolas Batum, CHA vs. MIA ($5,500): Batum has too high of a ceiling to be priced this cheaply, as he's primarily been a $7,000 player in the past. It's no secret that an elbow issue has been slowing him down this season, but his 24.2 fantasy points per game is still solid value at this sort of price. The minutes and usage are still there, and he's averaging over 32 minutes across his last five games.

Forwards

Ben Simmons, PHI vs. MIL ($8,000): Simmons is in a bit of a slump right now, but he's still averaging 42 fantasy points per game for the season, which is an incredible number from an $8,000 player. Being able to use a point guard at a thin power forward position just adds to Simmons intrigue, and he makes for a safe pivot in a tough slot to fill.

Harrison Barnes, DAL at POR ($6,700): Barnes has easily been the Mavericks' best player this season, as he leads the team in scoring, shots taken, usage and minutes played. That's a rare thing to see from a player below $7,000, as his 31 fantasy points per game further that point. The consistency is hard to overlook, as Barnes has scored at least 27 fantasy points in eight-straight games while surpassing 32 fantasy points in seven of those. Not to mention, Portland allows the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing small forwards.

JaMychal Green, MEM at NOP ($5,000): Since Green returned from injury a few weeks ago, he's been obliterating his price tag. Green has at least 20 fantasy points in seven of his nine games since his return, as he has a 32, 41 and 47 fantasy point games in that span. Those are some ridiculous numbers from a $5,000 player and there's reason to believe his role could rise.

Centers

Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN vs. TOR ($9,700): It's strange to see KAT below a six-figure number -- he's been playing like an elite center all season long. What's especially enticing about Towns is his ridiculous upside, as he's scored at least 48 fantasy points in 13 of his last 21 games.

Jusuf Nurkic, POR vs. DAL ($7,000): Nurkic is coming off a 48-fantasy point gem in his most recent outing, and he finally appears to be finding his role in this offense. In fact, Nurkic is averaging 35 fantasy points per game across his last 12 games, and he has at least 25 fantasy points in 11 of those outings. Dallas is extremely weak at center and is allowing over 59 fantasy points per game to the position across its last five games, which is the worst mark in the league.
