FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

After a busy day with nine games on the schedule Monday, the NBA quiets down with only five games Tuesday. There are still plenty of great options for your FanDuel entry though, so let's look at some players to consider that will hopefully help end your night with a winning lineup.

Guards

Russell Westbrook, OKC vs. BKN ($12,200): Westbrook has one of the highest floors in DFS, scoring at least 53.5 FanDuel points in six of his last eight games. Tuesday brings a great matchup against the Nets as they play at the fifth-fastest pace (101.9 possessions per game) in the league and allow the fourth-most FanDuel points per game (47.3) to opposing point guards. He's going to eat up a significant portion of your budget, but he has an extremely high upside in this game.

Tim Hardaway Jr., NY at GS ($5,500): Hardaway has been one of the leaders of the Knicks offense, averaging 21.0 points and 3.8 three-pointers in five games since returning from injury. He's done a great job in his second stint with the Knicks, averaging career-highs almost across the board. The Warriors play at the third-fastest pace (102.5) in the league, so look for Hardaway to have plenty of opportunities to be productive again Tuesday.

Dejounte Murray, SA vs. CLE ($4,800): The Spurs appear to be moving Tony Parker to the bench for the foreseeable future, opening the door for Murray to take over as the starting point guard. Murray started and played 28 minutes Sunday against the Pacers, scoring 30.4 FanDuel points. The Cavaliers allow the sixth-most FanDuel points per game (47.1) to opposing point guards, giving Murray the potential to be one of the better cheap value plays Tuesday.

Forwards

LaMarcus Aldridge, SA vs. CLE ($9,500): Aldridge continues to be the main scoring options for the Spurs with Kawhi Leonard (quad) injured, scoring at least 44.3 FanDuel points in seven of his last 10 games. Not only is Leonard still on the shelf, but the Spurs will also be without Pau Gasol (wrist) on Tuesday. Aldridge should have a high usage rate against a Cavaliers team that is struggling defensively right now, making him an excellent player to consider for your lineup.

Kyle Anderson, SA vs. CLE ($6,200): Anderson has become a starter with Leonard injured, playing at least 30 minutes in three of his last four games. The 30-minute mark is important for Anderson, who averages 9.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.0 block in 13 games when playing at least that much this season. Not only is Leonard out, but Rudy Gay (heel) and Manu Ginobili (thigh) won't play against the Cavaliers either. Anderson should get plenty of playing time again in this game, making him a viable option at this reasonable price.

Marcus Morris, BOS at LAL ($4,700): Morris might not be a flashy option, but he's scored at least 21.5 FanDuel points in three of his last four games. He's starting to see his playing time increase, averaging a season-high 26 minutes per game in the month of January. He gets to square off against the Lakers on Tuesday, who play at the fastest pace (103.2) and allow the fourth-most points per game (109.9) in the league, leaving Morris with some upside.

Centers

Steven Adams, OKC vs. BKN ($7,500): The Thunder have one of the weakest benches in the league, especially up front. Adams has seen an increase in playing time as a result, averaging a career-high 32 minutes per game. He's been a rock for them all season and has scored at least 34.1 FanDuel points in four straight games. Tuesday brings a favorable matchup against a Nets team that allows the most FanDuel points per game (56.5) to opposing centers. Adams is shaping up to be in line for another valuable performance.

Bismack Biyombo, ORL vs. SAC ($6,600): Biyombo has been a bit inconsistent lately, scoring 22.5 FanDuel points or less in three of his last six games. He still has significant upside though, evident by the fact that he scored at least 48.2 FanDuel points in two of the other three games. The Kings struggle to defend opposing centers, allowing the third-most FanDuel points per game (56.2) to the position. This has the makings of a strong matchup for Biyombo.

Enes Kanter, NY at GS ($5,800): The Warriors like to use a lot of small lineups, so going with a traditional center in Kanter might not be one of the first options that comes to mind. However, the Warriors do struggle defending centers, allowing the 10th-most FanDuel points per game (52.2) to the position. Kanter has played 29 minutes or less in five of his last six games, but still managed to score at least 30.8 FanDuel points in three of those five contest. Even if he only sees limited time on the floor Tuesday, he could still provide value at this price.
