DraftKings NBA: Sunday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Sunday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

There are seven games in the NBA on Sunday, but only three of them make up the main evening slate on DraftKings. With so few options to choose from, selecting your entry will be more difficult than usual. Here are some players with favorable matchups who can hopefully help you end the limited night a winner.

Guards:

Donovan Mitchell, UTA at LAL ($7,700): The Jazz are currently the fourth-seed in the West, but are only 1.5 games up from falling out of the playoffs all together. They will be playing their normal rotations as a result, including Mitchell, who has a 29 percent usage rate that ranks inside the top 20 in the league. The Lakers play at the third-fastest pace (102.6 possessions per game) in the league, which should leave Mitchell with even more opportunities to provide value for your entry.

Tyler Ulis, PHO vs. GS ($6,800): The Suns have been decimated by injuries down the stretch, especially at guard. Devin Booker (hand) and Elfrid Payton (knee) have already been ruled out for Sunday as well, leaving Ulis with a prominent role once again. He's made the most of his opportunity so far, scoring at least 30.3 DraftKings points in six straight games.

Shaquille Harrison, PHO vs. GS ($3,700): Harrison is another player who has benefited from all of the injuries on the Suns, logging at least 23 minutes in three of his last five games. He's shown some upside, scoring at least 30 DraftKings points in two of those contests. Considering both of these teams are in the top five in the league in pace of play, Harrison might be worth taking a chance on in tournament play.

Forwards:

Josh Jackson, PHO vs. GS ($7,800): Jackson (quad) has become the main scoring option on the Suns with Booker and T.J. Warren (knee) out, resulting in him scoring at least 31.8 DraftKings points in 10 straight games. He played heavy minutes during that stretch, logging at least 35 minutes eight times. He is listed as questionable for Sunday's game, but if he plays, he is an excellent option to consider. Keep an eye out for updates throughout the day.

Joe Ingles, UTA at LAL ($6,400): Like Mitchell, Ingles should continue to see plenty of playing time Sunday after logging at least 32 minutes in nine of his last 10 games. He's been able to contribute in multiple categories, resulting in at least 32.3 DraftKings points seven times during that stretch. At this reasonable price, he should be able to provide value again Sunday.

Danuel House, PHO vs. GS ($5,000): House is seeing significant playing time as the season comes to a close, playing at least 25 minutes in four straight games. He came through with at least 28.5 DraftKings points in two of those contests. He only scored 16.8 DraftKings points in his last game Friday against the Pelicans, but he played 35 minutes. Had he not shot just 0-for-4 from behind the arc and 2-for-9 from the field overall, his line could have looked much better. With limited options to pick from, House's minutes floor makes him a viable option.

Centers:

Rudy Gobert, UTA at LAL ($7,900): Gobert is doing his part to get the Jazz into the playoffs, scoring at least 30.3 DraftKings points in 11 of his last 13 games. His offensive upside isn't great, but he has four double-doubles in his last six games and has at least two blocks in five of his last six contests. There are a few high-priced centers worth considering Sunday, but Gobert might have the highest overall upside.

Derrick Favors, UTA at LAL ($5,500): Favors' production hasn't been off the charts, but he has scored at least 23.5 DraftKings points in eight of his last nine games. One of those games was against these same Lakers on Wednesday when he finished with 26.5 DraftKings points. The Lakers allow the second-most DraftKings points per game (49.2) to opposing power forwards, which is the position that Favors actually plays, making him someone to consider at this mid-tier price.

Dragan Bender, PHO vs. GS ($4,000): Unless the Warriors decide to rest some of their veterans in what is the second night of a back-to-back set for them, there aren't great cheap options available at center. Bender deserves to be in the discussion based on playing time alone, logging at least 30 minutes in four of his last seven games. His production wasn't spectacular, but he did score at least 28.5 DraftKings points in two of those contests. If Marquese Chriss (hip), who is listed as questionable, is unable to play, that would likely boost Bender's value as well.
