FanDuel NBA: Saturday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Guards

Damian Lillard, POR vs. NOP ($9,800): Lillard was one of the best players in the NBA in the second half of the year, and he should continue to build off of that great form in these playoffs. In fact, Lillard has at least 34 fantasy points in 20 of his last 21 games, and he's averaging nearly 50 fantasy points per game in that span. This is a matchup Lillard can exploit, with New Orleans allowing the third-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season. Lillard is averaging 26.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game in four meetings against the Pels this season (51 FPG).

DeMar DeRozan, TOR vs. WSH ($7,000): DeRozan and Lowry have traditionally struggled in the postseason, which is really the only explanation why these prices have dropped so drastically. Not only is DeRozan destroying his price tag with 37.3 fantasy points per game for the season, but he's done that while having limited minutes in the last two weeks of the season. H could be looking at close to 40 minutes of action in these playoffs, and he's had success against the Wizards this season already, averaging 46 fantasy points per game in four meetings.

Kyle Lowry, TOR vs. WSH ($6,800): Lowry is in the exact same boat as DeRozan, as he has way too much upside to be priced this cheaply. His 35 fantasy points per game are already exceeding 5X value, and he's coming off a 53-point gem in his most recent outing. Quinn Cook, Ersan Ilyasova, and Dejounte Murray are all right below him in price, despite the fact that none of them are averaging more than 23 fantasy points per game.

Forwards

Anthony Davis, NOP at POR ($12.500): It's hard to fade someone like Davis, as he's been the best player in fantasy since DeMarcus Cousins went down. Davis is averaging 31 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 2.1 steals and 3.4 blocks in his last 27 games. That's nearly 60 fantasy points per game, as he's taking nearly 22 shots per game and leading the team in usage and minutes in that stretch. New Orleans has essentially been playing playoff games the last two weeks, and Davis has at least 54 fantasy points in 12 of his last 13 games.

Josh Richardson, MIA at PHI ($5,800): Richardson is scorching hot headed into these playoffs, as he's scored at least 27 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games. That's huge production from a player south of $6,000, and it's hard to understand why he's seen such a drastic drop in price. Philly has been terrible against small forwards since Joel Embiid went down, too, allowing the second-most fantasy points to the position in their last 10 games.

Al-Farouq Aminu, POR vs. NOP ($4,800): Aminu has been way too good to be priced below $5,000, and he gets a superb matchup against a bad New Orleans defense. Not only is he averaging 30 fantasy points per game in his last 15 outings, but he's playing well over 30 minutes per game in that span. Not to mention, New Orleans ranks 29th in total defense while allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing power forwards. Dario Saric ($5.700) is also a nice cheap option, as he's averaging nearly 30 fantasy points per game when Embiid sits out.

Centers

Jusuf Nurkic, POR vs. NOP ($8,000): Nurkic is one of the only centers coming into this postseason who has been reliable recently, as he's scored at least 40 fantasy points in three straight games. The streak extends farther than that, though. Nurkic is averaging nearly 40 fantasy points per game in his last 25 outings. Nurkic dropped 46 fantasy points on the Pelicans just three weeks ago in the teams' final regular season matchup.

Hassan Whiteside, MIA at PHI ($7,000): Whiteside has been one of the best per-minute players in the league this season, but his limited role recently has kept his price to this attractive number. Not only is Whiteside averaging 35 fantasy points per game for the season, but he has at least 28 fantasy points in seven of his eight games since returning from injury, despite never playing more than 27 minutes. Whiteside is averaging nearly 50 fantasy points per 36 minutes played this year, but the question is how many minutes the Heat will entrust to him at center. With Joel Embiid out, Whiteside could have the advantage inside, but coach Erik Spoelstra has been reluctant to deploy him for long stretches.
