Opts to turn pro
Hernandez (suspension) has withdrawn from Miami to prepare for the NBA Draft, Christy Chirinos of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Earlier in the day Monday, Hernandez was dealt a suspension spanning the rest of the 2018-19 season, as well as the first 40 percent of the 2019-20 season. Instead of waiting to see the collegiate court one more time, he'll focus his efforts on preparing to turn pro. Hernandez can bring scoring ability and a strong frontcourt presence to the table for NBA teams if the 11.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game in the 2017-18 campaign are any indication.
