Penava indicated last week that he would forgo his final season of eligibility at Marshall and remain in the 2018 NBA Draft and sign with an agent, Chuck Landon of The Huntington Herald-Dispatch reports.

Penava is far from a safe bet to get selected in the draft, but he should have plenty of opportunities awaiting for him overseas after averaging 15.6 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in addition to leading the nation with 134 blocked shots in 2017-18. The departure of the 6-foot-10 big man creates a major void in the Thundering Herd's frontcourt, with rising sophomores Jannson Williams and Darius George representing the top internal candidates to pick up most of Penava's playing time in 2018-19.
