ANALYSIS
Jones Jr. joined the Utes after several seasons of community college, but his power-conference debut was far from fruitful. He appeared in 27 games and even started two, but put up just 2.6 points over 11.8 minutes per contest. He'll now take a step back with his move to Portland State, where he should see significantly more opportunities to contribute on the offensive end. The primary shooting guards in 2018-19 -- Deante Strickland and Derek Brown -- have each exhausted their NCAA eligibility.
