Pierzchalski was placed on the six-game injured list in advance of Saturday's game against the Argonauts.

Pierzchalski was injured in last week's game against the Argonauts, according to The Sherbrooke Times, and he will now be sidelined for several weeks. Stephen Adekolu was signed to add receiver depth in Pierzchalski's absence.

Pierzchalski will be replaced in the starting lineup by George Johnson, Didier Ormejuste of RDS reports.

Pierzchalski got a chance to show what he could do early this season, but he totaled just five receptions for 46 yards over two weeks, so the Alouettes will switch things up and let Johnson work with the first-team offense for now.

Pierzchalski will start at wide receiver in Thursday's season opener.

Pierzchalski will usually be the No. 3 receiver when Samuel Giguere (hamstring) is healthy, but he will be bumped up a spot this week with Giguere sidelined. Pierzchalski has suited up for 29 CFL games in his career but has made just one reception.

Pierzchalski signed a deal with Montreal on Wednesday and will join their practice squad, Gord Holder of reports.

Pierzchalski was released by Ottawa earlier this month after failing to record a statistic in the 10 games he suited up for. The third-year wideout will now get a shot with the Alouettes but given that his role is on the practice squad, it's unlikely he'll have any relevant fantasy value for the remainder of the season.

Pierzchalski was released by the Redblacks during their Week 12 bye.

Pierzchalski suited up for 10 games this season but did not record a statistic. He could garner interest from another team or rejoin the Redblacks at some point, having played for the squad both this season and last.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Pierzchalski caught nine passes for 74 yards, both team highs, in Friday's preseason loss to the Tiger-Cats.

The third-year Canadian WR made a nice impression when he got his chance, but with Ottawa returning their trio of 1000-yard receivers from last year (Chris Williams, Greg Ellingson and Ernest Jackson) Pierzchalski will have a tough time seeing meaningful targets during the regular season.
