Jones agreed to a one-year contract extension with Saskatchewan on Wednesday, Lee Jones of CTV Regina reports.
Jones played in 10 games for the Roughriders during the 2017 season, accumulating three return touchdowns, including one in the Eastern Final against Toronto. He only recorded one reception for six yards, as Jones was deployed more as a special teamer than on the offensive side of the ball. Although he isn't an essential cog within the team's attack, he was was one of the best returners in the league, averaging 14.3 yards off punts and 23.5 yards on kickoffs. This extension will keep him with the team through the 2019 season, since Jones already was signed through next year.
