RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bridge completed 13 of 22 passes for 145 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in the Roughriders' 40-17 loss to the Redblacks on Thursday. He also rushed four times for 27 yards.

Bridge came on in relief of starter Zach Collaros, who exited the game with a concussion in the latter stages of the second quarter. The 26-year-old has plenty of experience making in-game appearances, as he often did so last season whenever head coach Chris Jones opted to alternate Bridge with then-Rider Kevin Glenn. Bridge does bring a running dimension that Collaros can't quite match, but it remains to be seen if he'll have a chance to put it on display in the Riders' Week 3 matchup against the Alouettes.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bridge will start the season as the backup behind Zach Collaros, Justin Dunk of 3Down Nation reports.

Despite appearing in 12 of Saskatchewan's games last season and resigning in December, Bridge lost the battle to Zach Collaros, who was dealt to the Roughriders in a trade with Hamilton in January. Bridge could still be an option if the team is unsatisfied with the play of Collaros, coming off a season where he threw for 1,681 yards, 12 touchdowns and five interceptions with a completion percentage of 66.7.

Bridge signed a one-year extension with Saskatchewan on Wednesday.

Bridge will remain with the team through the 2018 season, and should be right in the mix for the starting gig during this upcoming year. During the Eastern Final loss to Toronto, Bridge came in for the benched Kevin Glenn -- which he wound up doing a lot during the final couple months of the year -- and went 11-of-21 passing for 141 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 43 yards on the ground. At this point, it remains to be seen how the depth chart will look by the time next summer rolls around, but Bridge should have the opportunity to make his presence known.

Bridge completed 11 of 21 passes for 141 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 25-21 Eastern Final loss to the Argonauts. He also rushed twice for 43 yards and completed a two-point conversion pass.

As was often the case in the latter half of the regular season, Bridge was summoned from the bench when Kevin Glenn couldn't get the Roughriders offense going. He unsurprisingly proved to be a spark, leading the team to its only touchdown drive of the day. Bridge first entered the game with 10:32 remaining in the second quarter, but his best stretch of play came early in the fourth, when he completed a 35-yard pass to Duron Carter and also broke off a game-high 36-yard scamper. He capped the drive off with an 11-yard touchdown pass to Carter, becoming the first Canadian quarterback to throw a touchdown in a divisional playoff game since 1968. Bridge subsequently led Saskatchewan on another successful march that culminated in a 28-yard Tyler Crapigna field goal with 4:44 remaining. Although the Roughriders' defense ultimately couldn't stop Ricky Ray from crafting a game-winning drive, Bridge certainly did his part to give his team a chance to advance to the Grey Cup. Looking ahead to 2018, Bridge figures to warrant serious consideration for the top quarterback job given his performance this season (1,236 yards and 10:4 TD:INT in part-time duty), and would likely be the presumed favorite for the job if Glenn hangs up the cleats.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bridge completed 10 of 15 passes for 124 yards and an interception in Friday's 37-12 win over the Alouettes.

He rotated series with Kevin Glenn, but it was the veteran who threw the Riders' only two TD passes on the night and Bridge who threw the only pick. potentially giving Glenn a leg up as the team tries to sort out their QB situation heading into the playoffs. Saskatchewan is currently tied with Edmonton for third place in the West Division pending Saturday's results, which could make next Saturday's clash between the two in Saskatchewan to close out the regular season crucial when it comes to seeding, so whoever gets the starting assignment could be on a very short leash.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bridge replaced Kevin Glenn early in the first quarter Friday and completed 10 of 19 passes for 133 yards and two interceptions in a 30-7 win over the Stampeders.

While it was hardly a strong statistical performance from Bridge, the Riders offense did show a little more life after the switch. This is now the second time in three games that the third-year Canadian quarterback has led Saskatchewan to victory in relief of Glenn, and with the team having all but clinched a playoff spot, Bridge may well find himself as the starter for the final two games of the regular season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bridge completed 20 of 28 passes for 292 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions after entering Saturday's 27-24 win over the Argonauts in place of Kevin Glenn (coach's decision). He also gained 13 yards on two rushes and completed a two-point conversion pass.

As he'd shown in previous stints behind center this season, Bridge was able to consistently move the Riders offense and his play was a catalyst in the second-half comeback. The mobile signal caller connected with the returning Naaman Roosevelt and Caleb Holley for scores and spearheaded a late drive that set up Tyler Crapigna's game-winning field goal with seven seconds remaining. Given that head coach Chris Jones has now seen Bridge succeed on multiple occasions while filling in for Glenn, it appears likely he'll entrust the former to helm Saskatchewan's offense versus the Redblacks in Week 17, although the coming practice week will shed further light.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bridge entered Sunday's 15-9 loss to the Stampeders at the start of the fourth quarter and completed six of seven passes for 91 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions. He also rushed three times for 12 yards.

After Kevin Glenn appeared to reinjure his hand on the last play of the third quarter, Bridge once again stepped in and provided a spark for what had been moribund Riders offense up to that point. He connected with Devon Bailey for a 14-yard score, Saskatchewan's only touchdown of the contest and Bridge's fourth in the last two weeks. The 25-year-old mobile signal caller could well draw the start against the Redblacks in Week 15, and considering he boasts a 69.0 percent completion rate and 7:1 TD:INT ratio this season, that may certainly be a positive.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bridge will serve as the backup quarterback in Sunday's game against the Stampeders.

Bridge started last week's game in place of an injured Kevin Glenn, but he will be back in his customary role off the bench this week with Glenn back in action.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bridge completed 21 of 31 passes for 231 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in Friday's 27-19 win over the Tiger-Cats. He also rushed twice for seven yards.

Bridge drew the start for the ailing Kevin Glenn (hand) and acquitted himself well, firing scoring throws to Devon Bailey, Naaman Roosevelt and Bakari Grant. The 25-year-old Canadian national threw multiple touchdowns for the second time this season, as he'd also tallied a pair in mop-up duty against the Lions in Week 7. Glenn's status for Week 14 against the Stamps is unknown, but given that he was a game-time decision Friday, it would appear likely he'll be ready for the showdown. However, if he's unable to go, Bridge certainly provided plenty of reason for optimism with Friday's effort.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bridge is on track to start Friday's game against the Tiger-Cats, according to Taylor Shire of Global Regina.

Bridge replaced an injured Kevin Glenn (hand) in last week's contest; and even though Glenn has been able to practice a bit this week, it does not appear he will be healthy enough to take the field in Week 13. Bridge has not started a game this season, but if he does indeed wind up under center this week, he will square off against a Hamilton squad that ranks last in the league in team defense.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bridge replaced an injured Kevin Glenn (hand) in the third quarter of Saturday's 48-28 loss to the Blue Bombers, completing four of eight passes for 67 yards and an interception while also running in a 10-yard touchdown.

There's no word yet on the severity of Glenn's injury, but it is to his throwing hand. If the veteran is forced to miss any additional time, Bridge would most likely replace him in the starting lineup, and while having a 25-year-old Canadian under center would create some vital roster flexibility for the Riders, his limited resume (50-for-73 for 648 yards and a 5:2 TD:INT in two-plus CFL seasons) makes Bridge's potential on-field impact something of a mystery.

August 5, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bridge completed all six of his pass attempts for 114 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 30-15 loss to the Riders. He also completed a two-point conversion pass.

Bridge saw some game action for the third time this season and made it count, firing a 46-yard touchdown to Duron Carter and a 45-yard score to Naaman Roosevelt for the Riders' only two touchdowns on the night. The 25-year-old signal caller certainly holds some promise as a developmental project behind veteran Kevin Glenn, but the latter continues as the team's unquestioned starter in what has mostly been a resurgent season to date.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bridge completed 10 of 11 passes for 120 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Saturday's 41-18 loss to the Lions. He also gained 16 yards and scored a touchdown on his one rush.

After only logging two pass attempts this season prior to Saturday, the 24-year-old third-string quarterback finally got a chance for some extended game action in 2016, rotating in with starter Mitchell Gale on the evening. Bridge scored a fourth-quarter rushing touchdown long after the game was out of reach and was sharp through the air, misfiring on only one pass. While veteran Darian Durant is expected to continue his career next season, Bridge's strong performance could certainly give the Roughriders coaching staff something to think about regarding the backup role in 2017.

August 10, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bridge signed a deal with the Roughriders on Wednesday, Didier Ormejuste of RDS reports.

Bridge was recently released by the Alouettes. He was the the third-string quarterback, and appeared in four games, but had no pass attempts this season. He will likely find himself in a similar role with the Roughriders behind Darian Durant and Mitchell Gale.

Bridge was released by Montreal on Monday, Herb Zurkowsky of the Montreal Gazette reports.

Bridge was listed as the third option on the team's quarterback depth chart behind Kevin Glenn and Rakeem Cato, so he played a small role during his time in Montreal. At just 24 years old, Bridge may potentially have an opportunity with another squad in the future.
