Williams (undisclosed) is not on the depth chart for Thursday's game against Ottawa.

Besides acting as the second running back, Williams has also spent time this year on special teams, so his absence will be felt in several aspects of the game. His next chance to play will come July 21 against Montreal.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams rushed 12 times for 70 yards and gained one yard on his lone reception in Saturday's 41-7 defeat of the Argonauts. He also returned a punt 102-yards for a touchdown.

Despite splitting carries with teammate Don Jackson in each game this season, Williams has simply been overshadowed by his rookie teammate thus far. However, at 5.3 YPC through the season's first two weeks, the Kutztown product has still been an effective runner. The 26-year-old showed off his explosiveness on his fourth-quarter punt return, bursting up the middle of the field and going practically untouched to the house to extend Calgary's lead to 40 points near the end of the third quarter. He should continue to see his fair share of carries going forward starting Week 3 at home against the Redblacks.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams is listed as the backup running back on the Stampeders' depth chart for Week 1.

It seemed likely Williams would beat out fellow running back and offseason addition Don Jackson for the starting job given his experience and 8.9 YPC average a year ago, but the decision was made to go with Jackson instead. Williams could still see some work Saturday, and chances are good he sees some action in the return game.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams had five carries for 47 yards in Friday's preseason matchup with the Lions. He also added a 54-yard punt return and racked up 51 more yards on two kickoff returns.

Williams is the favorite to start at running back for the Stampeders this season, and he did nothing to damage his chances Friday. As evidenced by the statistics, Williams could do some damage in the return game if given the chance, but head coach Dave Dickenson could be averse to using Williams there much if he is also starting at running back.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams was taken off the depth chart prior to Saturday's game against Edmonton.

Williams seems to be dealing with an undisclosed injury, and although it's unclear when he suffered the setback, he will be inactive for the Week 19 clash versus the Eskimos. In his place, Dominique Williams was added to the depth chart, and is in line to back up Jerome Messam on Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams carried 16 times for 156 yards and three touchdowns while also notching one reception for 14 yards in Friday's 59-11 victory over the Alouettes.

With Jerome Messam (undisclosed) hitting the one-game injured list, Williams drew the spot start and parlayed the opportunity into career-best production. The 25-year-old tailback averaged a stellar 9.3 yards per rush, a number partly comprised of a 45-yard scoring scamper that represented the Stampeders' final touchdown on the night. Williams also logged short scoring runs from one and two yards out, respectively, but he could be back to a reserve role if Messam returns for the Week 17 tilt against the Tiger-Cats.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams is listed as the starting running back for Friday's game against the Alouettes.

Williams has only played in two games this season for the Stampeders, and while he's only carried the ball once, he has recorded four receptions for 74 yards. Look for the tailback to potentially see an increased workload Friday, with his abilities as a pass catcher giving him some upside.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams is not listed on the depth chart for Friday's game against the Alouettes.

Williams filled in for a suspended Roy Finch the last couple weeks, but he was moved back to the practice roster this week with Finch's suspension coming to an end.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams caught three passes for 64 yards in Friday's 29-10 win over the Blue Bombers.

It was the CFL rookie's best performance of the season so far. Jerome Messam is locked in as the starting RB for Calgary, but Williams could carve out a role for himself as a pass-catching complement out of the backfield.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams is listed as the backup running back for Thursday's game against the Redblacks.

Williams impressed this preseason, running for 70 yards on 10 carries, so the Stampeders decided to turn his way as the replacement for the suspended Roy Finch. While Williams is on the depth chart for Week 2, that does not necessarily guarantee him any work on the offensive side of the ball, as starter Jerome Messam was the only running back to take a carry in Week 1.
