Records fourth 1,200 yard season
January 2, 2019
Gaskin ran the ball 24 times for 121 yards and two touchdowns and threw a two-yard touchdown against Ohio State in the Rose Bowl on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Gaskin topped 1,200 yards for the fourth time in his career, making him just the fourth player to reach that mark four times. Gaskin finished his career on a strong note, topping 100 yards in four of his final five games after missing two contests with an injury. Gaskin's threw a two-yard touchdown pass with 42 seconds left in the game to bring his team within one score of Ohio State, but the Buckeyes recovered the on-side kick, ending the comeback bid. Gaskin finishes his career as Washington's all-time leader in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. Washington will now be tasked with finding his replacement this off-season.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2018
2017
2016
It feels like Gaskin has been at Washington since the Jake Locker days but he's back for another round in 2018. He's rushed for at least 1,300 yards in each of his three seasons at UW, but Gaskin showed another gear as a fantasy asset last year with 21 rushing touchdowns. While it'll be difficult to replicate that touchdown production this year as touchdowns tend to be unstable year over year, he still has a safe workload and it'd be surprising if he was held under 1,200 yards or held to single-digit touchdowns.
Gaskin doesn't look like a traditional workhorse at 5-9, 195, but through two seasons he already has 2,675 yards (5.8 YPC) and 24 touchdowns. He should remain the clear lead runner in an offense favored to rank among the nation's best after scoring 71 touchdowns in 2016. Gaskin doesn't have a particularly high ceiling due to minimal pass-catching work (25 catches in two years) and the presence of standout backup Lavon Coleman, but Gaskin has a high floor as one of the centerpieces of a prolific offense.
Gaskin (5-10, 193) began 2015 behind Dwayne Washington and Lavon Coleman, but by the end of the year he was not only the best player on his team, but one of the nation's best RBs. After receiving just five carries for five yards against Boise State in the opener, Gaskin ran for 1,297 yards and 14 TDs on 222 carries (5.8 YPC) in the next 12 games. He likely won't do much as a receiver – he caught just six passes for 19 yards last year – but he's the able workhorse in an offense on the ascent thanks to the presence of sophomore quarterback Jake Browning.
