Back in transfer portal
Walters placed his name in the transfer portal Wednesday and is set to leave Mississippi State as a graduate, 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Walters will be exiting his second SEC program after spending the first two years of his collegiate career at Vanderbilt before joining the Bulldogs this past season. The signal-caller didn't see any action during his time in Starkville, and since Walters likely would have entered 2021 no higher than third on the depth chart behind Will Rogers and Southern Mississippi graduate transfer Jack Abraham, he'll explore his options with other programs. He'll have up to three years of eligibility to use at his next school.
