Cleared for start of season
WRSouth Florida
July 17, 2019
South Florida coach Charlie Strong confirmed Tuesday that Horne (knee) would be ready to play Aug. 30 in the Bulls' season opener versus Wisconsin, Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Strong suggested that Horne will enter August camp with no restrictions and will merely just need to clear the mental hurdle of getting hit again coming off the torn ACL he suffered last September. Before sustaining the season-ending injury, Horne recorded three receptions for 15 yards and a touchdown and ran three times or 12 yards. He should continue to have a role on offense as a gadget player and depth receiver, but the 5-foot-7 dynamo will make his biggest impact on the Bulls' kick-return unit.
