Thomas (academics) was unable to join the Cougars this season as he did not qualify academically and is instead starting his college career off at Iowa Western Community College, Theo Lawson of The Spokane Spokesman-Review reports.
ANALYSIS
Thomas was supposed to be enrolled at Washington State this fall but failed to qualify academically and instead was forced to play football at Iowa Western Community College until he can become eligible once again. The running back out of Ohio ran for almost 2,000 yards and scored 24 touchdowns in his senior season and was his high school's all-time leader in rush yards, rushing touchdowns, rushing attempts and scoring. It is unclear if Thomas will try to return to the Cougars once he gets his grades back up or if he will try and look somewhere else.
