Weekly Rankings: Week 3 Value Meter

This article is part of our Weekly Rankings series.

Sunday Update complete

Here are my rankings (if you want a second opinion, please see our formula-based projections - these are not tied into my rankings at all) for the coming week at each position to help you decide your starting lineup. Our rankings are based on the following scoring system: four points for a passing touchdown; six points for a rushing/receiving touchdown; one point for every 20 passing yards; and one point for every 10 rushing/receiving yards. ***Flex Rankings are for PPR leagues.***

**** PLEASE READ: (On a quick aside - our research shows that even though PPR leagues are becoming more popular, standard scoring leagues still outpace them, and moreover there are more 1/2pt PPR leagues coming into play as leagues adjust to the higher passing environment in the NFL. Beyond that, it makes more sense to create PPR rankings for the Flex position, and extrapolate those across the individual positions than it does in reverse. You may choose to disagree, but my stance here is pretty inflexible.)****

Typically, this article will be posted on Tuesday evenings, roughly around 5:00 pm PT. ***These are not draft rankings. They are solely for the given week of the season.***

I will update these during the week, usually twice per week to account for injury or other news during practice. The timing of those updates will vary based on the news at hand and my schedule for the given week. But the first of those updates usually won't happen until Thursday.

I will update these during the week, usually twice per week to account for injury or other news during practice. The timing of those updates will vary based on the news at hand and my schedule for the given week. But the first of those updates usually won't happen until Thursday. At any rate, I will post a "last updated" note at the top of the article, or an "update in progress" note if it's while I'm doing it. If there is no such note, that means it's my first pass at the rankings for this current week.

By all means, if you want to discuss a rank, or want me to add a player, chime in on the comments. I try to be receptive to your feedback and try to respond to most comments, though on occasion the volume can be quite thick. Please refer to the rankings first when asking "should I start Player A vs. Player B?". And then refer to the rankings again before asking a generic starting decision question. If you really desire a response to a starting question that doesn't have added complexity, please use our Ask An Expert service - it comes with your subscription. My response will correspond with the rankings.

Quarterback

1.Aaron Rodgers GB vs. Cin
2.Tom Brady NE vs. Hou
3.Derek Carr OAK at Was
4.Matt Ryan ATL at Det
5.Matthew Stafford DET vs. Atl
6.Drew Brees NO at Car
7.Kirk Cousins WAS vs. Oak
Note: Didn't turn the ball over against the Rams, but you didn't draft him to be a game manager.
8.Cam Newton CAR vs. NO
Note: On one hand, Cam's arm strength doesn't appear to be all the way back, and he lost Greg Olsen. On the other hand, it's a home game against the Saints. What a quandary! Listed on the injury report with both a shoulder and ankle, the latter of which is new. He was limited both on Wednesday and Thursday. ***Limited at Friday's practice and listed as questionable, but is expected to start. With the sore ankle, however, he's less likely to pile on the rushing yards.***
9.Carson Palmer ARZ vs. Dal
10.Jay Cutler MIA at NYJ
11.Ben Roethlisberger PIT at Chi
12.Philip Rivers LAC vs. KC
13.*Dak Prescott DAL at Ari
Note: Injured his ankle in the loss to the Broncos, but 'appeared to be ok' Monday. He has another tough road matchup this week against Arizona. Moved well at Thursday's practice, with 'no limitations.' The good news is that he's got an extra day to recover, with the Cowboys playing on Monday night. ***Removed from the injury list.***
14.Trevor Siemian DEN at Buf
15.Carson Wentz PHI vs. NYG
Note: It's possible that the game flow could work against Wentz this week, and he doesn't have his usual volume. I'm moving him down a few slots.
16.Russell Wilson SEA at Ten
17.Andy Dalton CIN at GB
18.Alex Smith KC at LAC
19.Jameis Winston TB at Min
20.Marcus Mariota TEN vs. Sea
21.*DeShone Kizer CLE at Ind
Note: Briefly sidelined with a migraine, later returned. He has a history of migraines, and was able to treat it. Kevin Hogan briefly replaced him.
22.*Tyrod Taylor BUF vs. Den
Note: Coach Sean McDermott quickly dismissed any notion that Taylor's job was in jeopardy. Still, the rushing yards are a staple, not a bonus for him.
23.*Jacoby Brissett IND vs. Cle
Note: Will start again this week against the Browns. He didn't have any passing touchdowns, but moved the ball at times and added 22 rushing yards.
24.*Mike Glennon CHI vs. Pit
Note: Three early turnovers were deadly against the Bucs. He was able to get the garbage-time production to salvage his fantasy game, but the calls to bring in Mitchell Trubisky are getting louder.
25.Jared Goff LA at SF
26.Deshaun Watson HOU at NE
27.Joe Flacco BAL at Jax
28.Eli Manning NYG at Phi
Note: Sacked five times in the loss against the Lions.
29.Brian Hoyer SF vs. LAR
30.Josh McCown NYJ vs. Mia
31.*Case Keenum MIN vs. TB
Note: I'm going to operate under the assumption that Keenum will start again this week. Bradford officially ruled out.
32.Blake Bortles JAC vs. Bal
33.*Sam Bradford MIN vs. TB
Note: Reportedly has a bone bruise in his knee, though the scar tissue around his surgically repaired ACL has made it hard to diagnose his injury. Vikings doctors are waiting to see how his knee responds to an injection before his next evaluation. Practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday - that really doesn't tell us a lot. This could come down to a game-time decision again. Limited again Thursday and coach Mike Zimmer seemed optimistic about Bradford's prognosis. ***Officially ruled out, dealing with 'pronounced pain' in his knee, and getting a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews.***
34.*Andrew Luck IND vs. Cle
Note: Already ruled out again this week.

Running Backs

1.Le'Veon Bell PIT at Chi
2.Kareem Hunt KC at LAC
3.Ezekiel Elliott DAL at Ari
4.Ty Montgomery GB vs. Cin
5.*Jay Ajayi MIA at NYJ
Note: Played the role of a traditional workhorse back against the Chargers. Can he hold up under a full season of that workload? (Knee) Missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, but expected to play Sunday. Before you get too worried, he was on the injury report last week as well. ***Full practice Friday, still listed as questionable on the injury list, expected to play.***
6.*Todd Gurley LA at SF
Note: Look for another heavy workload Thursday night - Gurley's backup Malcolm Brown is questionable with a hamstring injury.
7.Marshawn Lynch OAK at Was
8.Carlos Hyde SF vs. LAR
9.*LeSean McCoy BUF vs. Den
Note: Got a scheduled day off Wednesday.
10.Devonta Freeman ATL at Det
11.Isaiah Crowell CLE at Ind
12.*Melvin Gordon LAC vs. KC
Note: ***Popped up on the injury report Thursday with a sore knee, limited practice Thursday and Friday, but expected to play.***
13.Mike Gillislee NE vs. Hou
14.Lamar Miller HOU at NE
15.Leonard Fournette JAC vs. Bal
16.C.J. Anderson DEN at Buf
17.*Dalvin Cook MIN vs. TB
Note: Maybe, just maybe, if your quarterback is shaky, perhaps you should give it to your star young running back more than 12 times? Just a thought. ***Down a couple of spots with Bradford out.***
18.Javorius Allen BAL at Jax
19.Ameer Abdullah DET vs. Atl
20.Jonathan Stewart CAR vs. NO
21.Jacquizz Rodgers TB at Min
22.Christian McCaffrey CAR vs. NO
23.*Jordan Howard CHI vs. Pit
Note: Had a sling on his right arm after Sunday's loss to the Bucs. Limited practice Wednesday and Thursday. ***Full practice Friday, removed from the injury list.***
24.James White NE vs. Hou
25.Mark Ingram NO at Car
26.Joe Mixon CIN at GB
27.*Derrick Henry TEN vs. Sea
Note: Looking more and more likely to start, or at least carry a heavy workload. ***Murray is listed as questionable but is still expected to play and start, but I still think Henry produces more than him.***
28.Matt Forte NYJ vs. Mia
29.Chris Thompson WAS vs. Oak
30.*Chris Carson SEA at Ten
Note: Carved out 20 carries, while Eddie Lacy was a healthy scratch. At least we have a little definition in the Seattle backfield. Now we have to hope it means something in a fantasy context.
31.Frank Gore IND vs. Cle
32.Darren Sproles PHI vs. NYG
33.*Tarik Cohen CHI vs. Pit
Note: Got nine more targets in Week 2, despite an early fumble on a bonehead play on a punt return. ***Moved down a few spots with Jordan Howard removed from the injury list.***
34.Shane Vereen NYG at Phi
35.*Duke Johnson CLE at Ind
Note: Had four carries and six targets, converting them into three receptions, one of highlight-level variety.
36.*Samaje Perine WAS vs. Oak
Note: Received heavy usage after Kelley got hurt - 21 carries. He wasn't as effective as Kelley, but it's clear he'll be a factor if Kelley can't go.
37.*Chris Johnson ARZ vs. Dal
Note: Was the most effective of the three Cardinals running backs against the Colts. Bruce Arians hasn't yet named a starter for this week. Carry count will increase this week.
38.Bilal Powell NYJ vs. Mia
Note: Used sparingly in the loss to the Raiders, despite a game flow that might have suggested he would normally be used more.
39.LeGarrette Blount PHI vs. NYG
Note: Only six snaps last week, zero carries.
40.Tevin Coleman ATL at Det
41.*DeMarco Murray TEN vs. Sea
Note: Dealing with a sore hamstring, ceded carries to Derrick Henry in the second half last week, and Henry looked much better. Despite that, coach Mike Mularkey says that Murray remains the 'clear starter.' We'll see. Didn't practice Wednesday and Thursday, but the Titans are 'hopeful' that he practices Friday. ***Limited again at Friday's practice, listed as questionable, but is still expected to play.***
42.*Thomas Rawls SEA at Ten
Note: (Ankle) Infrequently used, as Chris Carson assumed most of the workload.
43.Theo Riddick DET vs. Atl
Note: Game flow worked against Riddick this week, but a presumed shootout against the Falcons should change matters this week.
44.Jamaal Charles DEN at Buf
Note: Had nine carries on 20 snaps, but the Broncos also ran a whopping 77 plays. Devontae Booker could return as early as Week 3, which could cut Charles' workload.
45.Giovani Bernard CIN at GB
46.Alvin Kamara NO at Car
Note: Limited to 17 snaps in the loss to the Pats, which is somewhat baffling given that the Saints were trailing for the bulk of the game.
47.Jalen Richard OAK at Was
48.Paul Perkins NYG at Phi
49.Jeremy Hill CIN at GB
50.Adrian Peterson NO at Car
51.C.J. Prosise SEA at Ten
52.*Terrance West BAL at Jax
Note: Day-to-day with an unspecified 'soft tissue' injury - gave way to Alex Collins late. Injury now defined as a calf injury, one that has kept him out of practice both Wednesday and Thursday. ***Returned to practice Friday, now expected to play. I'd expect him to be limited.***
53.Kerwynn Williams ARZ vs. Dal
54.Andre Ellington ARZ vs. Dal
55.Charcandrick West KC at LAC
56.Mike Tolbert BUF vs. Den
57.Robert Turbin IND vs. Cle
58.Wendell Smallwood PHI vs. NYG
Note: Fourteen snaps this week after getting 15 the week before.
59.James Conner PIT at Chi
60.Chris Ivory JAC vs. Bal
61.*Rob Kelley WAS vs. Oak
Note: Day-to-day with a rib cartilage injury, but ran really well before the injury. On the practice field both Wednesday and Thursday, but limited in capacity. ***Conflicting reports - after Friday's practice, Kelley said that he's still in pain, but expected to be made available. But a late Saturday report from ESPN's Adam Schefter suggested that he would not play. That it's the Sunday night game makes this a tougher call - I'd pass.***
62.Charles Sims TB at Min
Note: Lost a fumble after a reception, got fewer touches than Peyton Barber.
63.*Dion Lewis NE vs. Hou
Note: More snaps (14) than Burkhead (4), but fewer yards produced. Seems like the fourth of four options still in New England. ***Burkhead out this week.***
64.Jerick McKinnon MIN vs. TB
65.*Zach Zenner DET vs. Atl
Note: ***Active as the Lions' third back, Dwayne Washington out multiple weeks.***
66.*DeAndre Washington OAK at Was
Note: Definitely looks like the third wheel in Oakland, behind Richard as the backup. (Hamstring) Limited practice Wednesday. ***Full practice Friday, removed from the injury list.***
67.Jamaal Williams GB vs. Cin
68.Tyler Ervin HOU at NE
69.Alfred Morris DAL at Ari
70.Matt Breida SF vs. LAR
71.*D'Onta Foreman HOU at NE
Note: In a surprise to nobody, Foreman has been named the top backup behind Lamar Miller, even when Alfred Blue is healthy.
72.*Alex Collins BAL at Jax
Note: Collins earned playing time late after West suffered a soft-tissue injury, could be in the mix this week.
73.*Benny Cunningham CHI vs. Pit
Note: (Ankle) Missed last week, but could be part of the mix this week if Jordan Howard can't play.
74.Elijah McGuire NYJ vs. Mia
75.Peyton Barber TB at Min
76.*Marlon Mack IND vs. Cle
Note: Limited Wednesday with a sore shoulder. ***Only one limited practice all week.***
77.De'Angelo Henderson DEN at Buf
78.Latavius Murray MIN vs. TB
79.*Rex Burkhead NE vs. Hou
Note: Suffered a rib injury in the win over the Saints, but later returned. He was very active early, scoring a touchdown, but somehow still managed only eight snaps. Missed practice both Wednesday and Thursday. ***Ruled out for this week.***
80.*Damien Williams MIA at NYJ
Note: Sat out practice Wednesday with a rib injury.
81.*Darren McFadden DAL at Ari
Note: A healthy scratch again in Week 2. It's hard to hang on while injuries pile up elsewhere.
82.*Eddie Lacy SEA at Ten
Note: Healthy scratch in Week 2. Once Rawls proves fully healthy, Lacy potentially could get cut by the Seahawks.
83.*T.J. Yeldon JAC vs. Bal
Note: ***INACTIVE***
84.*Devontae Booker DEN at Buf
Note: (Wrist) Coach Vance Joseph isn't sure that Booker will return this week.

Wide Receivers

1.Julio Jones ATL at Det
2.Antonio Brown PIT at Chi
3.A.J. Green CIN at GB
Note: Look for the squeaky wheel to get the grease after the Thursday night debacle and subsequent offensive coordinator firing.
4.*Jordy Nelson GB vs. Cin
Note: Got knocked out on the first series of the game with a quad injury and is 50-50 to play this week. Full practice Wednesday and Thursday, expects to play Sunday. ***Even though he's listed as questionable, he fully practiced all week.***
5.Tyreek Hill KC at LAC
6.DeAndre Hopkins HOU at NE
7.Alshon Jeffery PHI vs. NYG
8.Golden Tate DET vs. Atl
Note: Tate was a victim of game flow on Monday night, with Stafford throwing just 21 attempts.
9.*Odell Beckham NYG at Phi
Note: (Ankle) Limited to 34 snaps in his first game back, but didn't experience any setbacks. Limited practice Thursday. ***Removed from the injury report.***
10.Davante Adams GB vs. Cin
11.*Mike Evans TB at Min
Note: Small downgrade based on the matchup, but in season-long you're still starting him.
12.Michael Crabtree OAK at Was
13.Dez Bryant DAL at Ari
14.Brandin Cooks NE vs. Hou
15.*Amari Cooper OAK at Was
Note: (Knee) Limited practice Wednesday. ***Full practice Friday, removed from the injury report.***
16.*Jarvis Landry MIA at NYJ
Note: Had a typical Landry day - 13 catches for 78 yards. (Knee) Sat out practice Wednesday, but returned to action Thursday. ***Full practice Friday, expected to play.***
17.Emmanuel Sanders DEN at Buf
18.Michael Thomas NO at Car
19.Doug Baldwin SEA at Ten
Note: Though the Seahawks' offensive line is a big problem, Baldwin is still getting a decent target volume, with nine targets last week.
20.Terrelle Pryor WAS vs. Oak
Note: Only four targets last week - was this a game flow issue, or a lack of confidence in Pryor after his shaky debut?
21.Keenan Allen LAC vs. KC
22.Sammy Watkins LA at SF
23.*DeVante Parker MIA at NYJ
Note: (Ankle) Limited in practice Wednesday, did not practice at all Thursday, but an anonymous team source said that the team expects him to play Sunday. ***Full practice Friday, and though he's still listed as questionable, he's expected to play.***
24.*Demaryius Thomas DEN at Buf
Note: (Hamstring) Limited in Wednesday's practice - is this in any way related to the groin injury he suffered towards the end of the preseason? ***Returned to full practice Thursday and Friday.***
25.*Kelvin Benjamin CAR vs. NO
Note: (Knee) Held out of practice entirely on Wednesday, but had a full practice Thursday.
26.Larry Fitzgerald ARZ vs. Dal
27.DeSean Jackson TB at Min
28.Martavis Bryant PIT at Chi
29.Jamison Crowder WAS vs. Oak
30.Tyrell Williams LAC vs. KC
31.Jeremy Maclin BAL at Jax
32.T.Y. Hilton IND vs. Cle
33.Marvin Jones DET vs. Atl
34.Stefon Diggs MIN vs. TB
35.Rishard Matthews TEN vs. Sea
36.Pierre Garcon SF vs. LAR
37.*J.J. Nelson ARZ vs. Dal
Note: Monster game against the Colts, taking advantage of the coverage slanted towards Larry Fitzgerald. Will opposing teams continue to shift their coverage in that direction? Popped up as limited at Thursday's practice with a hamstring injury. ***Limited practice Thursday through Saturday, but he's expected to play, even though he's listed as questionable.***
38.Mohamed Sanu ATL at Det
39.*Chris Hogan NE vs. Hou
Note: Dealing with a knee injury that forced him to limp off on multiple occasions last week, but downplayed the injury afterward. Limited at Wednesday's practice. ***Limited all week, but expected to play.***
40.Jordan Matthews BUF vs. Den
41.Adam Thielen MIN vs. TB
42.*Jaron Brown ARZ vs. Dal
Note: Hyperextended his knee against the Colts, but not before getting 11 targets. No longer on the injury list, could get a full target volume with J.J. Nelson dealing with a hamstring injury. ***No longer on the injury report.***
43.Marqise Lee JAC vs. Bal
44.*Rashard Higgins CLE at Ind
Note: Listed as a starter opposite Kenny Britt, who looked terrible in Week 2.
45.*Devin Funchess CAR vs. NO
Note: Could be the target beneficiary from Greg Olsen's absence. Plus he has a great matchup this week.
46.*Geronimo Allison GB vs. Cin
Note: Saw 61 snaps Sunday night and could start this week if Jordy Nelson can't go, plus Randall Cobb's status is up in the air. ***It looks like Jordy will play, but Cobb is doubtful, so Allison will presumably take on the third receiver's role.***
47.Jermaine Kearse NYJ vs. Mia
48.Brandon Coleman NO at Car
49.*Danny Amendola NE vs. Hou
Note: (Concussion, knee) Limited practice Wednesday and Thursday. Expected to play, but snaps could be limited, but at least he's been cleared from the concussion protocol. ***Officially listed as questionable, but said Friday that he's good to go.***
50.*Kenny Stills MIA at NYJ
Note: Could get more targets in a plus matchup, especially with Parker aching.
51.Kenny Golladay DET vs. Atl
52.Donte Moncrief IND vs. Cle
53.*Allen Hurns JAC vs. Bal
Note: (Shoulder) Full practice Thursday.
54.*Torrey Smith PHI vs. NYG
Note: ***Added to the injury report with an illness, expected to play.***
55.Cooper Kupp LA at SF
56.*Ted Ginn NO at Car
Note: Revenge game - one might say that he could be carrying a grudge, but that there's a fear that he'll drop that too.
57.*Paul Richardson SEA at Ten
Note: Played through a dislocated finger last week. Full practice Wednesday. ***Removed from the injury report.***
58.Brandon LaFell CIN at GB
59.Cole Beasley DAL at Ari

61.*Kendall Wright CHI vs. Pit
Note: (Shoulder) Limited practice Wednesday. ***Full participant in Friday's practice.***
62.Eric Decker TEN vs. Sea
63.Brandon Marshall NYG at Phi
Note: A really bad drop in the end zone symbolized the Giants' and Marshall's night.
64.Nelson Agholor PHI vs. NYG
65.Sterling Shepard NYG at Phi
66.Mike Wallace BAL at Jax
67.Ryan Grant WAS vs. Oak
68.*Kenny Britt CLE at Ind

70.Taylor Gabriel ATL at Det
71.Marquise Goodwin SF vs. LAR
72.Deonte Thompson CHI vs. Pit
73.Robert Woods LA at SF
74.*Tyler Boyd CIN at GB
Note: Late surprise scratch in Week 2 - some reports suggested that it was due to a hamstring injury, though afterward Marvin Lewis suggested it was more due to being a coaches decision.
75.Breshad Perriman BAL at Jax
76.*Robby Anderson NYJ vs. Mia
Note: (Knee) Limited in practice on Thursday. ***Full practice Friday, removed from the injury report.***
77.Tavon Austin LA at SF
78.Braxton Miller HOU at NE
79.*Taywan Taylor TEN vs. Sea
Note: Should have an expanded role with Corey Davis out. Should also avoid the curse of getting named after a country, thanks to the alternative spelling.
80.Josh Bellamy CHI vs. Pit
81.*Phillip Dorsett NE vs. Hou
Note: Looked useful at times against the Saints - was one of just three receivers active for the Pats last week. Alas, he left the game late with a knee injury. As with every non-Cooks NE receiver, Dorsett was limited in Wednesday's practice. ***Limited in practice all week, listed as questionable.***
82.Chris Godwin TB at Min

91.Tommylee Lewis NO at Car
92.*Markus Wheaton CHI vs. Pit
Note: No longer on the injury report - but uncertain how much of the target share he'll get.
93.*Randall Cobb GB vs. Cin
Note: Day-to-day with a shoulder injury that required an MRI. At least his injury occurred later in the game on Sunday night, so that you got some production first. Injury was reclassified as a chest injury, and he was held out of practice Wednesday and Thursday. ***Officially listed as doubtful.***
94.*Corey Davis TEN vs. Sea
Note: Day-to-day with a hamstring injury.
95.*John Brown ARZ vs. Dal
Note: (Quadriceps) Out again in Week 3.
96.*John Ross CIN at GB

100.*Corey Coleman CLE at Ind
Note: Out with a broken hand and placed on IR.

Tight Ends

1.Travis Kelce KC at LAC
2.*Rob Gronkowski NE vs. Hou
Note: Sat out the last quarter with a groin injury, but he downplayed it afterward, saying he'll be day-to-day. As always, the practice reports will tell the story. Limited practice Thursday. Did you expect the Pats to make this easy on us? ***Practiced Friday, expected to play.***

Note: Replacing the injured Greg Olsen.
17.*Vernon Davis WAS vs. Oak
Note: ***Could have a bigger role if Reed is held out.***
18.Cameron Brate TB at Min
19.*Ben Watson BAL at Jax
Note: ***Teammate Maxx Williams has been ruled.***
20.*Jimmy Graham SEA at Ten
Note: Could be limited with an injured ankle, as part of the tight end disaster. Didn't practice Wednesday. ***Practiced Friday without limitations, expected to play.***
21.Zach Miller CHI vs. Pit
22.Seth DeValve CLE at Ind
23.David Njoku CLE at Ind
24.*Austin Seferian-Jenkins NYJ vs. Mia

Note: (Ankle) Limited at the start of practice this week. Sat out Wednesday, limited practice Thursday. ***Full practice Friday, removed from the injury report.***

7.Ty Montgomery GB vs. Cin
8.*Jay Ajayi MIA at NYJ
Note: Played the role of a traditional workhorse back against the Chargers. Can he hold up under a full season of that workload? (Knee) Missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, but expected to play Sunday. Before you get too worried, he was on the injury report last week as well. ***Full practice Friday, still listed as questionable on the injury list, expected to play.***
9.*Todd Gurley LA at SF
Note: Look for another heavy workload Thursday night - Gurley's backup Malcolm Brown is questionable with a hamstring injury.
10.Ezekiel Elliott DAL at Ari
11.Tyreek Hill KC at LAC
12.DeAndre Hopkins HOU at NE
13.Alshon Jeffery PHI vs. NYG
14.Carlos Hyde SF vs. LAR

17.*Melvin Gordon LAC vs. KC

18.Golden Tate DET vs. Atl
Note: Tate was a victim of game flow on Monday night, with Stafford throwing just 21 attempts.
19.*Odell Beckham NYG at Phi
Note: (Ankle) Limited to 34 snaps in his first game back, but didn't experience any setbacks. Limited practice Thursday. ***Removed from the injury report.***
20.Davante Adams GB vs. Cin
21.*Mike Evans TB at Min
Note: Small downgrade based on the matchup, but in season-long you're still starting him.
22.Michael Crabtree OAK at Was
23.Dez Bryant DAL at Ari
24.Travis Kelce KC at LAC
25.*Rob Gronkowski NE vs. Hou
Note: Sat out the last quarter with a groin injury, but he downplayed it afterward, saying he'll be day-to-day. As always, the practice reports will tell the story. Limited practice Thursday. Did you expect the Pats to make this easy on us? ***Practiced Friday, expected to play.***
26.Brandin Cooks NE vs. Hou
27.*Amari Cooper OAK at Was
Note: (Knee) Limited practice Wednesday. ***Full practice Friday, removed from the injury report.***
28.*Jarvis Landry MIA at NYJ

29.Emmanuel Sanders DEN at Buf
30.Michael Thomas NO at Car
31.Doug Baldwin SEA at Ten
Note: Though the Seahawks' offensive line is a big problem, Baldwin is still getting a decent target volume, with nine targets last week.
32.Marshawn Lynch OAK at Was
33.Terrelle Pryor WAS vs. Oak
Note: Only four targets last week - was this a game flow issue, or a lack of confidence in Pryor after his shaky debut?
34.Lamar Miller HOU at NE
35.Isaiah Crowell CLE at Ind
36.Keenan Allen LAC vs. KC
37.Zach Ertz PHI vs. NYG
38.Leonard Fournette JAC vs. Bal
39.C.J. Anderson DEN at Buf
40.Javorius Allen BAL at Jax
41.*Dalvin Cook MIN vs. TB
Note: Maybe, just maybe, if your quarterback is shaky, perhaps you should give it to your star young running back more than 12 times? Just a thought. ***Down a couple of spots with Bradford out.***
42.Sammy Watkins LA at SF
43.*DeVante Parker MIA at NYJ
Note: (Ankle) Limited in practice Wednesday, did not practice at all Thursday, but an anonymous team source said that the team expects him to play Sunday. ***Full practice Friday, and though he's still listed as questionable, he's expected to play.***
44.*Demaryius Thomas DEN at Buf
Note: (Hamstring) Limited in Wednesday's practice - is this in any way related to the groin injury he suffered towards the end of the preseason? ***Returned to full practice Thursday and Friday.***

46.Delanie Walker TEN vs. Sea
47.Christian McCaffrey CAR vs. NO
48.James White NE vs. Hou

53.Martavis Bryant PIT at Chi
54.Jamison Crowder WAS vs. Oak
55.Tyrell Williams LAC vs. KC
56.Jeremy Maclin BAL at Jax
57.DeSean Jackson TB at Min
58.*Geronimo Allison GB vs. Cin
Note: Saw 61 snaps Sunday night and could start this week if Jordy Nelson can't go, plus Randall Cobb's status is up in the air. ***It looks like Jordy will play, but Cobb is doubtful, so Allison will presumably take on the third receiver's role.***
59.Matt Forte NYJ vs. Mia
60.Chris Thompson WAS vs. Oak
61.*Chris Carson SEA at Ten
Note: Carved out 20 carries, while Eddie Lacy was a healthy scratch. At least we have a little definition in the Seattle backfield. Now we have to hope it means something in a fantasy context.
62.Frank Gore IND vs. Cle
63.Darren Sproles PHI vs. NYG
64.*Tarik Cohen CHI vs. Pit
Note: Got nine more targets in Week 2, despite an early fumble on a bonehead play on a punt return. ***Moved down a few spots with Jordan Howard removed from the injury list.***
65.Kyle Rudolph MIN vs. TB
66.Martellus Bennett GB vs. Cin
67.T.Y. Hilton IND vs. Cle
68.Marvin Jones DET vs. Atl
69.Stefon Diggs MIN vs. TB
70.Jonathan Stewart CAR vs. NO
71.Jacquizz Rodgers TB at Min
72.*Derrick Henry TEN vs. Sea
Note: Looking more and more likely to start, or at least carry a heavy workload. ***Murray is listed as questionable but is still expected to play and start, but I still think Henry produces more than him.***
73.*Samaje Perine WAS vs. Oak
Note: Received heavy usage after Kelley got hurt - 21 carries. He wasn't as effective as Kelley, but it's clear he'll be a factor if Kelley can't go.
74.Mark Ingram NO at Car
75.Shane Vereen NYG at Phi
76.*Duke Johnson CLE at Ind
Note: Had four carries and six targets, converting them into three receptions, one of highlight-level variety.
77.Tevin Coleman ATL at Det
78.Theo Riddick DET vs. Atl
Note: Game flow worked against Riddick this week, but a presumed shootout against the Falcons should change matters this week.
79.Rishard Matthews TEN vs. Sea
80.Pierre Garcon SF vs. LAR
82.Mohamed Sanu ATL at Det
83.*Chris Hogan NE vs. Hou

84.Joe Mixon CIN at GB
85.*Terrance West BAL at Jax
Note: Day-to-day with an unspecified 'soft tissue' injury - gave way to Alex Collins late. Injury now defined as a calf injury, one that has kept him out of practice both Wednesday and Thursday. ***Returned to practice Friday, now expected to play. I'd expect him to be limited.***
86.Jordan Matthews BUF vs. Den
87.*Chris Johnson ARZ vs. Dal
Note: Was the most effective of the three Cardinals running backs against the Colts. Bruce Arians hasn't yet named a starter for this week. Carry count will increase this week.
88.Adam Thielen MIN vs. TB
89.Marqise Lee JAC vs. Bal
90.Coby Fleener NO at Car
91.*DeMarco Murray TEN vs.
92.Jason Witten DAL at Ari
93.*Rashard Higgins CLE at Ind
Note: Listed as a starter opposite Kenny Britt, who looked terrible in Week 2.

Note: Could be the target beneficiary from Greg Olsen's absence. Plus he has a great matchup this week.
95.Jermaine Kearse NYJ vs. Mia
96.Brandon Coleman NO at Car
97.*Danny Amendola NE vs. Hou
Note: (Concussion, knee) Limited practice Wednesday and Thursday. Expected to play, but snaps could be limited, but at least he's been cleared from the concussion protocol. ***Officially listed as questionable, but said Friday that he's good to go.***
98.*Kenny Stills MIA at NYJ
Note: Could get more targets in a plus matchup, especially with Parker aching.
99.*Jaron Brown ARZ vs. Dal
Note: Hyperextended his knee against the Colts, but not before getting 11 targets. No longer on the injury list, could get a full target volume with J.J. Nelson dealing with a hamstring injury. ***No longer on the injury report.***
100.Kenny Golladay DET vs. Atl
101.Donte Moncrief IND vs. Cle
102.Cooper Kupp LA at SF
103.*Charles Clay BUF vs. Den
Note: (Knee) Full participant in Thursday's practice.
104.*Randall Cobb GB vs. Cin
Note: Day-to-day with a shoulder injury that required an MRI. At least his injury occurred later in the game on Sunday night, so that you got some production first. Injury was reclassified as a chest injury, and he was held out of practice Wednesday and Thursday. ***Officially listed as doubtful.***

22.Zane Gonzalez CLE at Ind
23.Randy Bullock CIN at GB

5.Philadelphia Eagles vs. NYG
6.Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Min
7.Denver Broncos at Buf
8.Los Angeles Rams at SF
9.Green Bay Packers vs. Cin
10.Miami Dolphins at NYJ
Note: When we talk about 'streaming defenses, Miami's defense is a perfect example.
11.*Arizona Cardinals vs. Dal
Note: Could be getting Deone Bucannon back for the first time this week.
12.Seattle Seahawks at Ten
13.*Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Bal
Note: Facing a Ravens OL that just lost Marshal Yanda. ***Jalen Ramsey (ankle) is active after being limited in practice.***
14.*Buffalo Bills vs. Den
Note: Marcell Dareus (ankle) did not practice Thursday.
15.San Francisco 49ers vs. LAR
16.Carolina Panthers vs. NO
17.Kansas City Chiefs at LAC
18.*Houston Texans at NE
Note: Could be without Kevin Johnson (knee) and Johnathan Joseph (shoulder) against Tom Brady in Foxboro. Seems sub-optimal. ***Joseph will play, Johnson is out. Meanwhile, J.J. Watt aggravated his finger injury last week, but will play Sunday.***
19.Minnesota Vikings vs. TB

21.*Los Angeles Chargers vs. KC
