Nathan Peterman: Past News Updates   ( ▲ View most recent update )

Coach Sean McDermott stated last week that the starting quarterback job will be decided through competition, Dominic LoVallo of BuffaloBills.com reports. "We've got open competition at the position," McDermott said, referring to Peterman and newcomer AJ McCarron. "We've got two good players at the position. Two, good, young players and we're excited about both of them. Both have done a lot of winning, albeit at the college level. Both quarterbacks have a lot of room to grow and are very encouraged about the opportunity to compete to start for the Buffalo Bills."

RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2018

There was no outlook written for Nathan Peterman.

2017

Peterman was regarded by some pundits as the most "pro-ready" quarterback in this year's draft, but waited until the fifth round and pick No. 171 to be selected by the Bills. The organization has shown support to incumbent Tyrod Taylor, but drafting Peterman opens the door to future competition.
