2018 Fantasy Outlook
The Eagles' fifth-round pick from a season ago has reportedly come along nicely after he struggled in his first pro season and didn't see any targets until Week 17. Markus Wheaton, Greg Ward and Kamar Aiken represent the 23-year-old's greatest competition for a roster spot heading into the new year, but whoever emerges could serve as the team's fourth receiver in the early going if Alshon Jeffery's shoulder is still balky. 2017 Fantasy Outlook
Like his teammate and fellow 2017 draftee Mack Hollins, Gibson is a deep threat, averaging 22.6 yards per catch during his three years at West Virginia and flashing 4.39 speed in the 40-yard dash at his pro day. However, unlike Hollins, Gibson isn't expected to contribute as much, if at all, on special teams and therefore finds himself behind his rookie cohort on the depth chart as well as after the Eagles' three established veteran starters and Nelson Agholor. If Gibson finds his way onto the offense, he could eventually become a playmaker in the mold of DeSean Jackson, to whom scouts have compared him.
