Buried on depth chart most of '20
Watson finished the 2020 regular season with seven receptions (11 targets) for 94 yards and compiled 19 yards on two kickoff returns across 11 games. He also logged 17 snaps but no statistics during the NFC Championship Game win over the Packers.
ANALYSIS
The season started off encouragingly enough for Watson, considering the talent in front of him on the wideout depth chart. The third-year pro accumulated all of his stats from scrimmage for the campaign during the first three games, logging over 50 snaps in two of those contests while Chris Godwin battled multiple injuries. However, opportunity largely dried up for Watson once Antonio Brown was brought aboard in late October. How much of an uphill battle Watson faces for a roster spot this summer largely hinges on the status of Godwin and Brown, who are both slated for unrestricted free agency when the new league year begins in mid-March.

Recent RotoWire Articles Featuring Justin Watson

Tom Brady has been one of the better fantasy quarterbacks in the league this season, but he faces a very difficult test Monday night against the Rams in Florida.

Jarvis Landry hasn't made much noise so far, but his dominant share of the Cleveland passing game in recent weeks suggests there should be better days ahead.

Alvin Kamara has been one of the best fantasy scorers in the league this season, but the return of Michael Thomas could take some opportunities away from the star running back.

Is A.J. Brown the No. 1 receiver in Tennessee, or might it be Corey Davis? Perhaps the answer is both, which leaves nothing but scraps for the team's other pass catchers.
Past Fantasy Outlooks
2019
2018
The 2018 fifth-round pick saw minimal action in his rookie season, but that could change significantly in 2019. Adam Humphries, who logged a career-high 105 targets in 2018, is now in Tennessee, which leaves Watson with a potential clear path to a fairly sizable role in a new pass-centric offense. The Penn product is a much stouter candidate than Humphries for potential slot work, checking in at 6-3, 215 pounds. Moreover, Watson boasts 4.4 speed, so his route tree and overall utility in Bruce Arians' system could be quite diverse. However, dampening his prospects to an extent are the many mouths to feed on offense - Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Breshad Perriman and O.J. Howard, at a minimum, will all peg in ahead of him on the pass-catching hierarchy to open the season.
