Past Fantasy Outlooks
2010

2008
It's well known that Quinney plays his best golf early in the season, but last year he forgot to play well even on the West Coast. Quinney appears to have a nice upside, but he must figure out how to play outside the West Coast. Even with those problems, he still managed to make nearly $2 million in 2008. This year should fall somewhere between his peak of 2008 and his valley of 2009.
With the exception of the TPC at Sawgrass, Jeff Quinney is incapable of playing well anywhere east of Arizona. This trend continued through his second year on the PGA Tour as he once again started well on the West coast, but fell apart after the month of May. He'll need to get that figured out before he moves to the next level.
Quinney was a big contributor to a strong 2007 rookie class last season. In fact Quinney was one of the first rookies to make a splash when he nearly won the FBR in February. Quinney played well on the West Coast Swing, but he found life away from the west coast a little more difficult. In fact, in a stretch from April through the beginning of September he missed 10 cuts in 15 events. Quinney proved that he can play out west, where he grew up, but he didn't prove anything beyond that in 2007. Until he does, caution is needed with this player.
