Scott McCarron

McCarron has been slow to recover from an elbow injury, but for one week in 2008, he had the right stuff. After sitting out the entire season in 2007, it was thought that McCarron would be more than ready to hit the ground running in 2008. That didn't happen and it looked like it would be a long year for McCarron ... until August when he finished second at the Wyndham Championship and earned nearly 600k. That coupled with a couple other cashes was enough to crack the top-125 and retain his card for this season. McCarron should continue to improve this year.

McCarron failed to record a Top Ten until October last year. This was not the McCarron we are used to seeing. The problem was getting off the tee, 168th in accuracy which lead to a pitiful GIR rank of 143. Accuracy woes have now been a problem for two years. That may make him a risky pick this season.
