FantasyDraft NHL: Sunday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.

After Sunday, we will know the teams in March Madness' Final Four. However, we won't know which eight teams from each conference will make the NHL playoffs yet. The picture will be a little clearer after the four games Sunday night, and there's plenty of daily fantasy intrigue left.

GOALIE

Dallas Stars, DAL vs. VAN ($17,300): Yes, the Stars are 1-6-3 in their last 10 games, but the Canucks are 2-8-0 in theirs, so both of these teams have been struggling. Despite these recent issues, Dallas is 24-11-3 at home on the year. Plus, the Stars have only allowed 29.7 shots on net per game, while the Canucks have only managed 29.9 shots on goal per contest.

CENTER

Riley Nash, BOS at MIN ($10,800): With Patrice Bergeron out, Nash has been moved up to the top line for the Bruins. He's played like a first-line center recently as well, notching 13 points in his last 13 games. Now, Bergeron could return for this contest, but even if he does, Nash's recent hot play is still relevant. The Wild will be on the second night of a back-to-back, and they have a 3.18 GAA on zero days of rest.

Radek Faksa, DAL vs. VAN ($8,600): Several of the best defensive teams are in action Sunday, which makes finding favorable fantasy picks that much more difficult. The Stars might have the best matchup of the day. Vancouver has a 3.24 GAA and the 22nd-ranked penalty kill. Faksa has averaged 18:14 per game in ice time over his last eight contests and has tallied three points in his last six games.

WING

Corey Perry, ANA at EDM ($11,800): Perry has tallied 11 points in his last 12 contests. The Oilers have a 3.18 GAA, but they are also on the second night of a back-to-back. That could put Al Montoya (3.42 GAA, .889 save percentage) in net for Edmonton. On top of that, the Oilers have the 30th-ranked penalty kill. Perry, for his part, has averaged 2:47 per game with the extra man.

Ondrej Kase, ANA at EDM ($8,800): Kase has started 54.2 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, the highest rate among Ducks who have played in more than 11 games. He has 18 goals in 59 games, and over his last five outings, he's notched three points. As previously noted, the Oilers have a 3.18 GAA, but at home, that number actually climbs to 3.39.

Mattias Janmark, DAL vs. VAN ($6,300): Janmark has notched 18 goals and 15 assists in 74 games. Additionally, over his last four contests, he's put 10 shots on goal. The Canucks have a 3.24 GAA, but since the All-Star break, they've been on a slide. In that time, they have a 3.35 GAA.

DEFENSEMEN

John Klingberg, DAL vs. VAN ($11,900): Klinberg has been dishing out assists with aplomb this season, notching 54 in 75 games. That's a tremendous number for a defenseman, and he's added seven goals to boot. Vancouver has a 3.24 GAA, the fourth highest in the NHL. Klingberg may be on the pricier side, but with so few good matchups available, he's worth it, especially since defenseman tend to be less expensive than forwards.

Hampus Lindholm, ANA at EDM ($8,500): Lindholm has a three-game point streak, giving him 28 points in 62 games. That includes a career-high 11 goals, and the Swede has eight power-play points. The Oilers have allowed 34.8 shots on net per game since the All-Star break, and as mentioned earlier, they are on the second night of a back-to-back.
