FanDuel NHL: Saturday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Saturday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

There are 10 NHL games Saturday, but two of them are in the afternoon. You can play a full schedule, considering the Oilers and Blackhawks are both in action during the early slate. However, I will be providing my recommendations for the eight-game evening schedule starting at 7:00 PM ET.

GOALIE

Darcy Kuemper, ARI vs. DET ($7,800): Under the radar, Kuemper has been as hot as any goalie recently. In his last nine starts, he's gone 8-1-0 with a 1.96 GAA and .939 save percentage. Meanwhile, the Wings have only scored 2.75 points per game, and they were sellers at the trade deadline.

CENTER

Max Domi, MON vs. PIT ($6,300): Domi has been tearing it up all season with 59 points including games, including a five-point performance earlier in the week. The Canadiens are on the second day of a back-to-back, but so are the Penguins, and at least the Canadiens get to be at home. Plus, Pittsburgh has given up 33.5 shots on net per contest.

David Krejci, BOS vs. NJD ($5,700): Krejci has notched 15 goals and 40 assists in 64 games. He's gotten to that total in part by notching 15 points in the month of February. As for the Devils, they have struggled to a league second-highest 4.00 road GAA and are also on the second night of a back-to-back.

WING

Alex Galchenyuk, ARI vs. DET ($5,800): Galchenyuk has started a whopping 64.7 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, second highest on the Coyotes. That's helped him notch 10 points in his last 10 games, although five of those have come with the extra man. The Wings have seen their GAA rise up to 3.36, which is third-worst in the NHL.

Andreas Johnsson, TOR vs. BUF ($4,400): Johnsson may be a 24-year-old rookie, but nevertheless he has potted 19 goals in 57 games. Playing on a line with Auston Matthews as his center certainly helps. The Sabres endured a rough February with a 3.77 GAA. On top of that, they are on the road for the second game of a back-to-back Saturday.

J.T. Miller, TAM vs. OTT ($4,200): Miller only has 12 goals on the season, but he's picked up three of those in his last four games. He's also tallied 15 points with the extra man. In the end, this is mostly about the matchup. The Senators enter with a 4.45 road GAA, the highest in the league by a wide margin.

DEFENSE

Keith Yandle, FLA vs. CAR ($5,700): Yandle has registered four multi-point games in his last seven outings, but all eyes go to the power-play points when looking at the defensemen's numbers. He's averaged 3:41 per game with the extra man, tallying 32 power-play points in 63 contests. The Hurricanes have been pretty good on the penalty kill, but they are on the road for the second game of a back-to-back here. That's enough to intrigue me.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson, ARI vs. DET ($4,900): Suddenly, there's some offense in the desert! Ekman-Larsson has racked up six points in his last six games, including four with the extra man. As previously noted, the Red Wings own a 3.36 GAA. And on the road, that stat rises to 3.57.
