FanDuel NHL: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Some NHL teams are just waiting for the playoffs to begin, while thers have already made vacation plans and tee times for April. Both of those flavors of teams are in action Tuesday, when there are eight games on the slate. Here are my recommendations for your daily fantasy lineup.

GOALIE

Jordan Binnington, STL vs. ARI ($8,800): The rookie netminder has an 1.80 GAA and .929 save percentage. Even if you don't entirely believe he can sustain this level of play long term, the Coyotes are in the bottom five in goals per game, and they are also on the road for the second night of a back-to-back.

CENTER

Kevin Hayes, WPG vs. SAN ($5,600): Since joining the Jets and getting dropped on the second line, Hayes has five points in six games. The Sharks are also on the road for the second night of a back-to-back, and they've struggled in those situations all season. San Jose has a 3.51 GAA in away contests.

Phillip Danault, MON vs. DET ($5,200): Danault has a point in six of his last nine outings. All of them are assists, but he does have 11 goals on the season as well. Meanwhile, the Wings have a 3.62 GAA in away games, and they were sellers at the deadline and have been struggling quite a bit since.

WING

Viktor Arvidsson, NAS at ANA ($7,400): Arvidsson has started 67.2 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, second highest on the Predators. He's also notched 28 goals this season in a mere 46 games. As for the Ducks, they have a 3.21 GAA since the All-Star break, and they've allowed 33.3 shots on net per contest this season.

Andrew Shaw, MON vs. DET ($5,100): Shaw isn't always thought of as a point producer, but he has 17 goals and 18 assists in 50 games this season. He's also averaged 2:14 per game with the extra man, notching six power-play points in the process. As previously noted, the Wings have been struggling defensively recently. Since the All-Star break, they have a 3.67 GAA.

Jared McCann, PIT vs. WAS ($4,900): McCann was recently moved up to Pittsburgh's top line alongside Sidney Crosby and Jake Guentzel. In what is probably a corresponding fact, he has 8 points in his last seven contests. He will look to try and stay hot against a Capitals team that has a 3.32 road GAA.

DEFENSE

John Klingberg, DAL at BUF ($6,200): Klingberg has done his best to make up for the time he lost to injury, as he has 35 points in 50 games. He's also notched 16 points with the extra man. The Sabres have struggled as much as any team defensively recently. They have a 3.78 GAA since the All-Star break, second highest in the NHL.

Jacob Trouba, WPG vs. SAN ($5,300): Trouba has four points in his last five games, all of them on the power play. Though the Sharks have a top-10 penalty kill overall, on the road they rank 22nd. Plus, as previously noted, San Jose has a 3.51 road GAA as well.
