SLATE PREVIEW

The matchup between Tampa Bay and Toronto doesn't have major playoff implications for the former, but it'll be quite telling if the Maple Leafs can't rebound after losing three straight games in California. They're in danger of falling out of a playoff spot soon.

Every game counts for the Predators and Hurricanes as well, and even the Penguins need to end their skid yesterday. The Canes have an easier matchup against the Red Wings, but nothing has come easy for them lately.

A late-night battle between the Senators and Ducks is meaningless for anything but lottery odds, but there is still some intriguing fantasy value between these games, specifically in Ottawa's crease.

GOALIES

Andrei Vasilevskiy ($8,800) bounced back from a mini-skid by posting a .952 SV% and two wins over his last three outings. He's the chalk here, as the Maple Leafs are back in a funk with three consecutive losses on the California road trip (keep in mind how poor that competition is).

Carter Hart ($8,700) is getting expensive. He's strung together seven straight wins, and he has a 20-2-2 record at home this year. However, a matchup against the Bruins makes him a high-risk, albeit contrarian, play, as they rank eighth with 3.26 GF/GP.

It's undecided whether Matt Murray ($8,200) or Tristan Jarry ($8,000) will get the nod against the Devils. Murray has played far better, and I'm more comfortable rolling him out versus the league's 25th-ranked offense.

Igor Shesterkin ($8,100) will be seeking a bounce back after getting lit up by the Devils on Saturday, but we shouldn't be too concerned because he's been so consistent otherwise with a 9-1-0 record and .940 SV%. Facing off against the Stars is a solid opportunity to get back on track, as the rank 24th since Feb. 1 with 2.56 GF/60, per Natural Stat Trick.

Craig Anderson has won back-to-back games while registering a .944 SV%, making him an intriguing value add versus Anaheim, who ranks 29th with 2.54 GF/GP at home.

VALUE PLAYS/ONE-OFFS

Anthony Cirelli ($4,800) is a Selke candidate, but he carries an offensive touch with five points over 10 contests. Fire him up as a value play, especially if Frederik Andersen, who has a 3.00 GAA over the last month, gets the starting nod.

The Stars' PK ranks 28th since the trade deadline at 12.55 GA/60. The skaters on the top unit are high-priced, but we can find some value looking at the second stack, including Filip Chytil ($3,900), who has 14 goals this year.

Morgan Geekie ($3,100) was fantastic in his NHL debut, lightning the lamp twice and adding an assist. Of course, it's not sustainable, but it's intriguing against the lowly Red Wings. Justin Williams ($3,800) is a more stable option, though, as he's racked up five goals in four games.

FORWARD LINE STACKS

Vancouver Canucks (TOTAL: $18,700)

C - Elias Pettersson ($6,500)
W - J.T. Miller ($6,900)
W - Tyler Toffoli ($5,300)

Pettersson will hit 70 points this year, but Miller already has with 27 goals and 44 assists. He was worth the first-round pick last summer, and Toffoli has fit in well since his move from L.A. with eight points over nine games. Meanwhile, the Islanders' typical strong defensive scheme hasn't been up to par, as they've allowed 3.94 G/GP since the trade deadline.

Detroit Red Wings (TOTAL: $17,700)

C - Dylan Larkin ($6,700)
W - Anthony Mantha ($6,400)
W - Tyler Bertuzzi ($4,600)

The Red Wings were eliminated from playoff contention weeks ago, but they won't roll over, as this line continued to fight Sunday with a combined 11 points against the Lightning. The Hurricanes have allowed 3.2 G/GP since their two starting netminders went down, and even if James Reimer comes back, this is a superb contrarian option.

DEFENSE

It feels like a broken record with Roman Josi ($6,200) as the chalk. He's a serious Norris contender (John Carlson will probably win, though) with 63 points this year, and he's piled on six points and 30 shots over six games. Two of those points came with the man advantage, signaling a high-ceiling affair against the Canadiens' 19th-ranked PK (78.3 percent).

The aforementioned struggling Stars PK should be taken advantage of at every turn, and the Rangers' blue line has two of the most productive power-play defensemen in Adam Fox ($4,100) and Anthony DeAngelo ($5,600). The former has seven points -- all at even strength -- in 10 games, while DeAngelo has stacked up 10 points with five on the power play.

Matt Grzelcyk ($3,700) should see increased ice time at both even strength and on the power play with Torey Krug (upper body) out of the lineup. Hart is a tough netminder to crack and the Flyers' PK is stout, but the price is right to fill Grzelcyk in a DFS lineup.
