October 6, 2017
Kozola lost to Carrington Banks via unanimous decision (27-30, 25-30, 25-30) at Bellator 184 on Friday in Thackerville, Okla.
ANALYSIS
Kozola simply could not hang with Banks in the grappling department. He had the power advantage on the feet, but Banks controlled the distance well. Whenever they entered range, Banks would change levels and score a takedown. Kozola defended well on the bottom, but he could not threaten with submissions or escape to his feet. He had begun his career with eight straight victories before suffering his first professional defeat.
