Opens two-match set against Ana Julaton with a win at Bellator 194
FlyweightBellator
February 16, 2018
Hardy defeat Ana Julaton via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27) at Bellator 194 on Friday in Uncasville, Conn.
ANALYSIS
On paper this was going to be an exciting fight between two strikers. However, Julaton went out of her way to make this a clinch fight. In theory, this was a good strategy since Hardy likely had the advantage at range. Even though it slowed the pace of the fight, Hardy still had more offense throughout the fight. She was able to score in spurts and threaten with submissions. Hardy improved to 2-1 in MMA. These two are set to rematch in a boxing match in the near future. Bellator confirmed that boxing match prior to this fight.

Misses weight amid controversy
FlyweightBellator
February 15, 2018
Hardy missed weight for her Bellator 194 matchup against Ana Julaton on Friday, Matt Erickson of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Hardy weighed in at 126.25 pounds for the fight -- only a quarter pound above the flyweight limit. She was initially proclaimed "good to go" by Mohegan Tribe Departent of Athletic Regulartion President Mike Mazzulli, and proceeded to begin the rehydration process. Later on, however, Hardy found out that she had missed weight, and would be giving 20 percent of her fight purse to Julaton. Had she known she had missed weight, she would have been given an additional two hours to shed that quarter pound, but that process never happened. Despite the snafu and hearty financial penalty, Hardy remains a consensus (-350) favorite for the bout. It will be the third fight of the 36-year-old's MMA career, all of which have been under the Bellator banner. Hardy will look to bounce back Friday after a TKO loss to Kristina WIlliams last October.
Falls victim to a head kick from Kristina Williams at Bellator 185
FlyweightBellator
October 20, 2017
Hardy lost to Kristina Williams via TKO (kick) at 2:00 of Round 2 at Bellator 185 on Friday in Uncasville, Conn.
ANALYSIS
As impressive as Hardy's MMA debut was last June, the boxer clearly struggled in terms of defense. Obviously MMA allows many different techniques that are forbidden in boxing, therefore defensive striking is an entirely different ball game. Once again, she struggled defensively in this fight. Williams was able to score with kicks and elbows that seemed to catch Hardy completely off guard. Hardy was already busted up when she ducked directly into a kick that shattered her nose. Bellator will almost certainly continue to push Hardy, but she will almost certainly need to rework her defensive striking.
Impresses in her professional MMA debut at Bellator 180
FlyweightBellator
June 24, 2017
Hardy defeated Alice Yauger via TKO (Punches) at 4:47 of Round 3 at Bellator 180 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
In a lot of ways Yauger was a good debut opponent for Hardy. Despite being 4-5, Yauger is an extremely game striker. Hardy clearly had an advantage with her hands, but Yauger was still able to land with the more diverse arsenal available in MMA. This was a brutal battle that left both fighters damaged. Hardy walked Yauger down and threw with much more volume, and that probably put her ahead on the scorecards. Late in the third round, the referee stopped the bout to check a cut on Hardy. After the stoppage Hardy unleashed a devastating right hand that dropped her opponent. Yauger got back to her feet, but Hardy kept going after her until the referee stopped it. Bellator has promoted 125-pound women's fights, but they still do not have a champion. It will be interesting to see where Hardy goes after this victory.
