Updating a previous report, Sanchez will now fight Jarred Brooks at UFC 228 on Sept. 8, Alexander K. Lee of MMAfighting.com reports.

Sanchez was originally booked to fight Ryan Benoit, but the latter was forced to withdraw due to an undisclosed injury. In walks the 25-year-old Jarred Brooks, who will look to get back on track after losing each of his last two fights. Sanchez, on the other hand, owns a 1-1 record since joining the UFC promotion, with his most recent outing being a submission win over Joby Sanchez in February. Sanchez could look to use his length to his advantage, as he's three inches taller than Brooks and owns a four-inch reach advantage.

Sanchez came into his UFC debut undefeated as a professional mixed martial artist. He immediately went for his opponent's strength by taking Morales down. It is dangerous to challenge Morales' grappling skills, but Sanchez mentioned before the fight that he was confident in his own skills as a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. "Little Fury" couldn't do much on the ground because Morales has such a strong guard though. Once the fight was standing again, Sanchez got dropped by a straight right and was swarmed by the Team Alpha Male product. Once Morales had his back, Sanchez did a good job of fighting off the first choke, but ultimately succumbed to a rear-naked choke and tapped out. This fight was short, but Sanchez did not mount much offense other than the initial takedown. It will be interesting to analyze his skills through an entire fight.
