RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kim was dealt a 180-day medical suspension following his split decision victory over Damien Brown at UFC 221, reports.

Kim picked up his third consecutive victory at the Australia-based event, but might have to wait up to six months before being allowed to fight again under the UFC banner. Of course, it's always possible an orthopedist gives him fight clearance prior to the expiration of that window.

Kim defeated Damien Brown via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC 221 on Saturday in Perth, Australia.

Fantasy Analysis

It wasn't a great effort from Kim, but it was enough to push his winning streak to three and that's a good thing because it was a fight in which he deserved to come out on top. Perhaps Brown deserved Round 3, but Kim deserved to win Rounds 1 and 2. He certainly didn't dominate his opponent and he never came close to earning the stoppage, but a win is a win. Kim has pushed his career UFC record above the .500 mark (3-2) with Saturday's victory.
Kim defeated Takanori Gomi via TKO (punches) at 1:30 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Friday in Japan.

Fantasy Analysis

Kim dominated "The Fireball Kid" at Saitama Super Arena. Kim was patient and then landed a big right hand which dropped the Japanese legend. He followed it up with strikes on the ground before the referee stepped in. This was a good win for Kim and gives him two victories in a row.
Kim's scheduled fight against Thibault Gouti at UFC Fight Night 110 was cancelled after Gouti withdrew due to illness, Damon Martin of Fox Sports reports.

Fantasy Analysis

With the announcement coming on such short notice, a replacement wasn't assigned and Kim's fight was scratched from the card. The next step for the 28-year-old welterweight is unclear at this point.
Kim defeated Brendan O'Reilly via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Fantasy Analysis

In Round 1 alone, Kim won the total strike battle by a count of 57-9, landed two takedowns and had nearly four minutes worth of control time. It was more of the same, although to a lesser extent in Round 2, before O'Reilly picked up the pace in the finale frame, although Kim was well on his way to earning a decision win by then. It was Kim's first UFC career after suffering losses to Marco Polo Reyes and Dominique Steele in his first two fights with the company.
Kim lost to Polo Reyes via TKO (punches) at 1:52 of Round 3 at UFC 199 on Saturday in Los Angeles.

Fantasy Analysis

To say that Kim will never be the same after this fight would be an understatement. He ate an insane 148 significant strikes before referee Mike Beltran was finally forced to intervene and stop the action. Even more impressive was the fact that Kim was actually able to get some offense off during the middle of the fight despite the beating that he was taking. Kim deserves all the credit in the world for lasting as long as he did, but now 0-2 in the UFC with two stoppage losses, a release would appear to be forthcoming.
Hyun Kim lost to Dominique Steele via KO (Slam) at 0:27 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night 79 in Seoul, South Korea.

Fantasy Analysis

Maestro's UFC debut couldn't have gone much worse. Steele tuned up Kim on the feet resulting in a hematoma for Maestro entering the third round. After a brutal finish, Hyun Kim joined the ranks of Carlos Newton, Dave Branch, and others who have been recipients of a slam KO inside the octagon.
