FeatherweightPFL
August 21, 2019
Knight challenged a familiar foe in Artem Lobov to a rematch fight from the one they previously had in June, Farah Hannoun of MMAJunkie reports.
ANALYSIS
Knight challenged his former opponent, Artem Lobov, to a rematch fight in which Lobov wasted no time in accepting. Knight was defeated by the Russian fighter back in February and looks to seek his revenge in November in Boston, although no set date or event has actually been scheduled yet.

Dropped by UFC
FeatherweightPFL
January 10, 2019
Knight announced Thursday that he has been released from the UFC.
ANALYSIS
After winning four of his first five bouts with the UFC, Knight has dropped four in a row, with his most recent coming against Jordan Rinaldi via unanimous decision at UFC 230. He'll now be on the hunt to join another MMA organization in an effort to get back to his winning ways.
Drops fourth fight in a row Saturday in NYC
FeatherweightPFL
November 3, 2018
Knight lost to Jordan Rinaldi via unanimous decision (27-30, 25-30, 26-30) at UFC 230 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Knight's toughness and versatility continue to be negated by the fact he can't defend a takedown. He spent virtually the entirety of Saturday's fight on his back, and while he did a halfway decent job of defending Rinaldi's submission attempts, Knight displayed no ability to land any offense whatsoever from the bottom. Any opponent with half a brain is going to continue to throw takedown attempts at Rinaldi until he rectifies the issue. Giving up on Knight would be a risky proposition for the UFC, but the 26-year-old has lost four fights in a row and he seems to be regressing. It is an interesting situation to monitor moving forward.
Draws Jordan Rinaldi at UFC 230

September 6, 2018
Knight will fight Jordan Rinaldi at UFC 230 on Nov. 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, Alexander K. Lee of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Knight, after starting 4-1 in the UFC, has dropped his past three fights. He was most recently defeated by Makwan Amirkhani at UFC Liverpool in May as a result of a split decision. Rinaldi has won just one of his first three UFC bouts. He'll be dropping down to 145 pounds for the first time since June of 2015, when he competed on a National Fighting Championship show.
Drops hard fought split decision in England
FeatherweightPFL
May 27, 2018
Knight was defeated by Makwan Amirkhani via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Sunday in Liverpool.
ANALYSIS
Knight put on a great performance in this fight but came up short. He seemed to be in trouble early as he got hurt by a straight right from Amirkhani, but he recovered and dropped "Mr. Finland" twice in the last two minutes of the opening round with uppercuts. He went to the ground and attempted to lock in a submission, but was unable to finish the fight before the bell. That may have been the tactical error that brought about Knight's defeat. The first uppercut seemed to hurt Amirkhani badly, and it seemed like follow-up punches may have finished him. Instead, Knight went for submissions that allowed Amirkhani to recover. The second round was much more even and Knight arguably landed the more significant fights throughout the round. However, Amirkhani was able to take "The Kid" down twice towards the end of the round which likely swung the decisions of the judges as to who won the round. In the third, Knight essentially pulled guard from the clinch and threatened with submissions for half of the round. He was not successful, but negated Amirkhani's offense by forcing him to defend the entire time. The fight was eventually stood up, but Amirkhani again took Knight down and this time landed good ground and pound until the end of the round, again swinging the judges' scorecards with a late takedown.
Will fight Makwan Amirkhani at UCF Liverpool
FeatherweightPFL
March 21, 2018
Knight will fight Makwan Amirkhani at UFC Liverpool on May 27.
ANALYSIS
Both Knight and Amirkhani come into this fight losing their last time in the Octagon, with Knight specifically suffering a unanimous decision loss to Gabriel Benitez back in December. That was preceded by a loss to Ricardo Lamas at UFC 214 in July, so Knight is in desperate need of a bounce-back performance. Amirkhani owns nine submissions over his 13 career wins, while Knight has 13 across 20 career wins, so this fight will likely spend plenty of time on the mat.
