Gets right back in win column
Light HeavyweightUFC
February 10, 2024
Prachnio defeated Devin Clark via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Known as a one-dimensional striker with durability issues, Prachnio ended up easily pulling the upset of Clark despite entering as a +185 underdog. He stuffed the only two takedown attempts from his opponent, which allowed him to remain standing and thus finish with a 112-53 edge in terms of total strikes landed. He never had Clark in any real trouble in terms of earning the finish, but Prachnio also never found himself in any trouble from a defensive standpoint. The 35-year-old has alternated wins and losses in his past five bouts.

Can't defend takedown in loss
Light HeavyweightUFC
July 8, 2023
Prachnio lost to Vitor Petrino via submission (arm-triangle choke) at 3:42 of Round 3 at UFC 290 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Petrino is known for his striking skills and power, but he flipped the script and leaned on his grappling here, and Prachnio wasn't ready for it. He allowed the Brazilian to land four takedowns for 8:39 worth of control time. Prachnio accepted his position on the mat way too easily and offered zero offense of his own off his back. The rare fighter that wasn't cut despite being knocked out in each of his first three UFC bouts, Prachnio has won three of five since, although his long-term outlook remains bleak. Prachnio will be 35 years of age less than a week after this event takes place.
Facing Petrino at UFC 290
Light HeavyweightUFC
May 9, 2023
Prachnio is expected to take on Vitor Petrino in a light heavyweight matchup at UFC 290 on July 8 in Las Vegas, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After a rough start to his UFC run that saw Prachnio fall via three consecutive first-round stoppages, the Polish fighter has now won three of his last four, including a decision victory over William Knight in February. He now takes on a relative newcomer in Petrino, who earned his contract with a second-round stoppage on Contender Series and followed it up with a FOTN-winning victory over Anton Turkalj in March. Prachnio has a one-inch height advantage but will be giving up three inches in reach.
Cruises to easy decision win
Light HeavyweightUFC
February 18, 2023
Prachnio defeated William Knight via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Facing an opponent that either couldn't or wouldn't engage him, Prachnio cruised to one of the most lopsided unanimous decision wins you will ever see. He made a concerted effort to pound Knight with legs kicks early on. He was credited with 63 leg kicks over the course of the bout, in addition to a 79-8 edge in total strikes landed. That is not a misprint. Knight landed just eight strikes in 15 minutes in a bout that was spent entirely on the feet. Prachnio's 3-4 record in his first seven UFC bouts is quite ugly, but he's been a bit better of late, winning three of four dating back to January 2021.
Knight matchup re-booked
Light HeavyweightUFC
November 28, 2022
Prachnio's proposed light heavyweight matchup against William Knight has been rescheduled for Feb. 18, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear why the originally-scheduled November bout was called off in the first place, but the UFC will preserve this bout when it's all said and done. Prachnio recently saw a two-fight winning streak snapped in April against Philipe Lins, but he was listed as roughly a (-145) betting favorite against Knight prior to the bout's cancellation.
Fight gets scrapped
Light HeavyweightUFC
November 10, 2022
Prachnio's scheduled bout against William Knight at the UFC's Nov. 19 event at UFC Apex in Las Vegas was called off for undisclosed reasons, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Prachnio was looking to get back in the win column after losing via unanimous decision in his most recent bout against Philipe Lines in March. The 6-foot-3 light heavyweight is 2-4 in his UFC career dating back to 2018, and it's unclear when he can expect to fight again. Prachnio is currently 34 years old, so he'll likely try to put a new fight together as soon as possible.
