Stops Te Edwards early in the second round at UFC Moncton

Madge defeated Te Edwards via TKO (head kick) at 0:14 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Madge had a memorable performance in his UFC debut. He scored a knockdown at the start of the fight. However, Edwards was able to score a takedown and work from the top. Madge threatened with an armbar from the bottom and nearly finished the fight. In the second round, Madge landed a pair of head kicks very early in the round and finished the fight. Many did not think a lot about a fighter from South Africa, but he got it done.

Gets another chance in UFC at Moncton

Madge will make his UFC debut against Te Edwards at UFC Moncton on Oct. 27, Aaron Bronsteter of TSN Sports reports.
Madge was originally tabbed to make his debut back in May at UFC Liverpool, but he withdrew his name before the event. He'll now get another chance to strut his stuff in the UFC circuit against a fellow rookie. The South African fighter won his past four fights in the Extreme Fighting Championships, three by TKO and one by submission, though Edwards also has five wins a row to his name, all of which came by either KO or TKO.
Withdraws from UFC Liverpool

Madge will no longer make his UFC debut against David Teymur at UFC Liverpool on May 27, Ariel Helwani of reports.
Madge's withdrawal has also been reported by FloCombat. It's a tough break for the "Magic Man," as it's now uncertain if or when he'll get an opportunity in the UFC.

Madge will make his UFC debut in a lightweight matchup against David Teymur at UFC Liverpool on May 27.
Madge is a 27-year-old that owns a 7-3-1 professional record, accumulated entirely with the South Africa-based Extreme Fighting Championship promotion. He's been knocked out, submitted and decisioned under that banner, but has been able to turn things around of late, winning his last four matchups. Each of his seven wins has been earned via stoppage. Despite the winning streak, Madge is the No. 177-ranked lightweight in the world according to Fight Matrix. To put that in perspective, UFC fighters ranked similarly include Darrell Horcher (166), Dong Hyun Kim (169), Andrew Holbrook (185) and Jason Gonzalez (190).
