Kauppinen defeated Alessio Sakara via TKO (punches) at 1:10 of Round 1 at Bellator 211 on Saturday in Genoa, Italy.
Kauppinen made quick work of Sakara in the main event of Bellator 211. He came out looking to keep his distance. Sakara pushed forward with a combination. However, Kauppinen used the opportunity to land a counter left hook. Sakara was out when he hit the ground. Kauppinen appeared to know his opponent was done, but the referee allowed the fight to continue. After a few more punches on the ground, the fight was over. Kauppinen needed this win after dropping his previous two fights. This was his first win in Bellator.
Gives up the submission at Bellator 200

Gahadza defeated Kent Kauppinen via Submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:04 of Round 2 at Bellator 200 on Friday in London.
Kauppinen struggled in this fight. In the first round, he struggled to close the distance. Gahadza stayed on the outside and scored with a lot of leg kicks. In the second round, Kauppinen tried to unleash some kicks of his own. Unfortunately for him, he slipped and fell to the ground. From there, Gahadza showed off some slick grappling. He easily took the back and finished the fight via submission. Kauppinen falls to 10-4 as a professional.
