Smokes his opponent Abubakar Nurmagomedov at PFL 3
WelterweightPFL
July 5, 2018
Kusch defeated Abubakar Nurmagomedov via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:23 of Round 2 at PFL 3 on Thursday in Washington, DC.
ANALYSIS
For most of the first round, Nurmagomedov was putting in work in the striking department. He was landing slick combinations and clinching when he ended up in trouble. However, in the second round, Kusch was able to land a shovel uppercut from distance that floored the Russian. From there, he transitioned to the back and finished with the rear-naked choke. This was by far the biggest stage that Kusch had ever fought on, and he passed this test for sure.
