Fights to close decision
BantamweightBellator
January 26, 2019
Bandejas lost to Juan Archuleta via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at Bellator 214 on Saturday in Los Angeles.
ANALYSIS
Bandejas came into this fight off an upset over James Gallagher. He nearly did it again here, but he ended up coming up a hair short. This was a very close fight, and both fighters had their moments. One could make the case that Bandejas landed the hard strikes, but he seemed to be waiting. He would land a power strike and then eat multiple strikes from Archuleta. In the end, this should be very little to dim the rising star of Bandejas. He certainly has a future in the Bellator 135-pound division.

Upset James Gallagher in the first round at Bellator 204
BantamweightBellator
August 17, 2018
Bandejas defeated James Gallagher via TKO (punches) at 2:49 of Round 1 at Bellator 204 on Friday in Sioux Falls, S.D.
ANALYSIS
Bandejas showed some veteranship in this fight. Gallagher came out with a lot of movement. He was throwing hard leg kicks and jumping in with strikes. Bandejas seemed to be a step behind, but he eventually timed his right hand and hurt Gallagher. After defending a takedown, he dropped the Irish fighter with another right hand. This time Gallagher was really hurt. Bandejas dropped him against with a side kick to the face. From there, it was only a matter of finishing him off with strikes. This was Bandejas' Bellator debut after a long run in the CFFC promotion. He looked like he could have a future at bantamweight.
